The technical principle of hazardous chemical storage cabinets is mainly based on multiple safety protection designs, combined with materials science, Internet of Things technology, and intelligent monitoring systems to ensure the safety of chemical storage. The following is a classification explanation of the core principles:
1、 Principle of structural protection
1. Fire and explosion prevention design
Adopting a double-layer steel plate structure (thickness ≥ 1.2mm), filled with fire-resistant materials such as ceramic fibers in the middle, it can withstand external high temperatures for more than 1 hour, and the temperature inside the cabinet is controlled below 180 ℃. The top of the cabinet is equipped with a pressure relief port (with an area ≥ 5% of the cabinet volume), and the explosion pressure is ≤ 0.02MPa to prevent sudden increase in internal pressure from causing explosions.
2. Leak prevention and electrostatic protection
Install a leak proof liquid tank (depth ≥ 50mm) at the bottom of the cabinet to collect leaked liquids; The cabinet is equipped with a grounding device (resistance ≤ 4 Ω), and the layer board is electrically connected to the cabinet (cross resistance ≤ 0.03 Ω), effectively dissipating static electricity. The ventilation openings are made of anti-static materials to avoid sparks.
2、 Intelligent monitoring technology
1. RFID and Gravity Identification
RFID electronic tags enable precise identification and full lifecycle traceability of hazardous chemicals. Gravity sensors can monitor changes in reagent usage and trigger sound and light alarms and push warning information in case of abnormalities.
2. Real time environmental monitoring
Integrated temperature and humidity sensors (temperature 5-40 ℃, humidity ≤ 80%), combustible gas detectors (detection accuracy ≤ 1% LEL), and VOCs sensors, data is transmitted to the cloud platform through the Internet of Things, supporting remote monitoring from multiple terminals.
3、 Classification storage and ventilation system
1. Partition management
Adjustable shelves (with a load-bearing capacity of ≥ 400kg) are installed inside the cabinet, supporting the classification and storage of flammable liquids, corrosive substances, oxidants, etc. Prohibited items are isolated in separate cabinets. Strong acid and alkali materials require PP lining or stainless steel 316L layer board, and lithium battery storage requires the installation of mica board insulation.
2. Forced ventilation design
The flammable/toxic cabinet is equipped with an independent exhaust system (with a ventilation rate of ≥ 12 times/hour), and the air inlet is located at the bottom to form a vertical airflow. A flame arrester is installed at the end of the exhaust duct.
4、 Compliance requirements
The cabinet must comply with national standards such as GB 15603 and GB 50016, and pass MA certification and explosion-proof testing. Outdoor temporary storage cabinets should be kept at least 30 meters away from fire sources, with a leak proof concrete structure on the ground and an emergency collection pool.
