(1) Turn on the power, manually or jog the machine for testing. The punch operates flexibly without collision or hard friction, and there is no abnormal noise. After everything is normal, fill the hopper with particles.
(2) For the initial test run, adjust the tablet thickness to a larger position and the filling amount to a smaller value. Rotate the test wheel by hand to adjust the hardness and thickness of the tablet to meet the requirements of the finished product.
(3) Adjust the weight of the sheet again to meet the requirements of the finished product.
(4) Press the start button to continue adjusting the thickness and weight of the tablets to meet the requirements for qualified products
(5) During the operation, regularly observe and check the quality of the tablets, whether there are any cracks, loose tablets, or unqualified tablet weight, and make corresponding adjustments.
Notes:
(1) The operation of the tablet press should strictly follow the principle of single person single machine, and it is prohibited for one person to have multiple machines or multiple people to have one machine.
(2) Before turning on the tablet press, it is necessary to manually rotate the handwheel or jog the test machine to make the turntable rotate 1-2 turns to check whether the components are installed correctly. For some tablet presses, observe whether the corresponding indicator lights are on or check the computer prompts.
(3) During the operation of the tablet press, careful observation is necessary. If there are any abnormal noises or other situations, the machine must be stopped immediately for inspection.
(4) When there is sticking or pulling during the tablet pressing process, it is necessary to stop the machine and clean the die. Otherwise, it will not only affect the quality of the tablets, but also cause significant wear and tear on the machine. In severe cases, it may lead to the breakage of the punch and damage to the track.
(5) Rotary tablet press, especially high-speed rotary tablet press, generates heat after a period of operation, which can induce the viscosity of particles. It should be stopped or produced at a lower temperature.
(6) When the humidity in the space is too high, it is easy to induce particle viscosity. The machine should be stopped and production should be resumed after the humidity decreases.
(7) For a dual flow tablet press, it is strictly prohibited to feed the material into one side of the hopper while the other side of the hopper is not feeding.
(8) During the pressing process, the vacuum cleaner should be turned on to prevent dust from flying and to prevent dust from staying in the punching hole and causing pulling.
(9) When particles are blocked or leaked during compression, the machine must be stopped for handling to prevent personal injury accidents.
The quality of tablets is closely related not only to particle quality, production environment, and operator proficiency, but also to the condition of the machinery and equipment. Therefore, proper maintenance and upkeep of the machine is crucial to ensure that it is in good working condition. The following points should be achieved:
(1) Before starting the machine, the operator should inject oil according to the specified oil grade, lubrication location, and oil injection amount in the lubrication diagram and instructions on the machine body to ensure good lubrication.
(2) Strictly follow the equipment SOP for operation.
(3) After daily work, brush off any residual powder from various parts of the machine and clean the machine carefully.
(4) When disassembling or installing the die, be careful not to collide the die to avoid damage.
(5) Regularly inspect components such as worm gears and worm gears, and promptly repair or replace any defects found.
(6) For computer-controlled tablet presses, strict shutdown procedures must be followed to prevent system file damage and strict measures should be taken to prevent virus infection.
(7) For computer-controlled tablet presses, backup of system files and production technical parameters should be done well.
