What are the main structures of a microwave vacuum dryer?
Date: 2024-11-29Read: 4
The microwave vacuum dryer is particularly suitable for rapid low-temperature sterilization and drying of heat sensitive materials such as extracts. Compared with conventional methods, microwave processing has the advantages of short processing time, high efficiency, cleanliness and hygiene, energy and land conservation, environmental improvement, and long-term storage without mold and minimal loss of active ingredients. Widely used in colleges, universities, and laboratories.
The main structure of a microwave vacuum dryer includes the following parts:
Microwave generator: This is one of the core components of a microwave vacuum dryer, which generates microwave energy and delivers it to the heating chamber through a waveguide tube. The commonly used microwave generators include magnetron, semiconductor, quartz crystal and other types, among which magnetron microwave generator is the most common.
Vacuum system: The vacuum system includes a vacuum pump, gas flow meter, pressure sensor, etc., which can extract air from the heating chamber to create a vacuum environment for better drying.
Heating chamber: The heating chamber is the main working area of the microwave vacuum dryer, and the internal material should have certain conductivity and thermal conductivity to better absorb microwave energy and convert it into heat energy. The heating chamber must have a certain degree of sealing performance to prevent oxidation and contamination during the drying process.
Control system: The control system includes temperature controller, air pressure controller, humidity controller, etc., to achieve precise control and monitoring of temperature, air pressure, humidity and other parameters during the drying process.
Cooling system: Due to the large amount of heat generated during the drying process, the cooling system helps to cool down the material and prevent damage caused by excessive heating.
Microwave power control system: It can adjust the intensity of microwave output and set the appropriate drying power according to the characteristics of the material.
Suppression section: including microwave oven doors, suppressors, and other suppression mechanisms to prevent and control microwave leakage to meet national standards.
Material conveying mechanism: such as tracks or conveyor belts, used for conveying materials.
Moisture and heat removal mechanism: It removes the steam inside the microwave box and the electric heat inside the power box, solving the problem of overheating inside the microwave box.
Measurement system: measures the temperature of materials and the humidity inside the drying room, and these measurement data are displayed through instruments.
Automatic control system and operating interface: including programmable logic controller (PLC) and touch screen, controlling the operation of the entire equipment and displaying relevant status during the working process.
Other components such as electric drive, safety protection, and sound and light alarms can be set up as required.
