Fully automatic dry granulation machine: key points for safe and efficient production
Date: 2025-12-17Read: 6
Fully automatic dry granulation machines are widely used in the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries, and their operating standards directly affect product quality and equipment lifespan. The following are key precautions to help users achieve a safe and stable production process.
Preparation before operation: Ensure the safety of equipment and materials
Equipment inspection: Before starting, it is necessary to verify that the feeding system, pressure roller, and granulation mechanism are intact, the fasteners are not loose, and the lubrication point oil level is normal. The connection between the power and gas sources should be stable to avoid interruptions in operation.
Cleaning and disinfection: Use 75% ethanol to clean parts that come into contact with materials to prevent cross contamination, especially when changing varieties. Before installing the screen mesh, it is necessary to check the compatibility and firmness of the specifications.
Material preparation: Ensure that the powder raw materials are mixed evenly and meet quality standards. Operators need to wear protective equipment such as dust masks and gloves. The environmental temperature and humidity need to be controlled to avoid degradation of heat sensitive materials.
Operation: Precise control and real-time monitoring
Parameter setting: Strictly follow the process specifications to input parameters such as roll pressure and feeding speed. It is recommended to gradually optimize from low pressure during initial debugging. Unauthorized modification of verified settings is prohibited to prevent quality fluctuations.
Process monitoring: After starting, run the machine at low speed for 1-2 minutes and listen for abnormal noise. During formal production, real-time observation of the feeding continuity and the quality of the thin film output by the pressure roller, such as thickness uniformity, should be made and adjusted in a timely manner. Regularly take samples to check the particle size distribution and loose density.
Exception handling: If current fluctuations or material blockages are detected, immediately stop the machine and strictly prohibit forced start-up to avoid equipment damage. Record production data, including parameters and abnormal situations.
Operation completed: Standardized shutdown and cleaning maintenance
Shutdown sequence: First stop feeding, then turn off the granulator and pressure roller host after the materials are emptied, and finally cut off the power and gas source. Dismantle movable parts such as feeding screws during site clearance and remove residues with ethanol.
Cleaning points: Different types of equipment need to undergo cleaning verification to prevent cross contamination. Gently rinse the filter bag with drinking water to avoid damage from scrubbing. After cleaning, ensure that the components are dry. For example, the pressure roller can be treated with a hair dryer.
Daily maintenance: Regularly check the wear and tear of vulnerable parts, such as rollers and screens, and replace them in a timely manner. Lubricate transmission components to reduce friction and extend equipment life. The working environment needs to be kept clean, with dust and ground powder removed.
Other key precautions
Material characteristic adaptation: Dry crushing is suitable for materials with a moisture content of less than 5%, to avoid the influence of sticky and soft substances on the granulation effect.
Safety protection: It is forbidden to insert hands or foreign objects into the running parts during operation to prevent mechanical injury.
Environmental control: Maintain stable temperature and humidity in the workshop to ensure consistent quality of particle molding.
By systematically practicing these precautions, operational efficiency and safety can be significantly improved, particle quality can be ensured, and equipment lifespan can be extended.
