What are the precautions for using a dust particle counter?
Date: 2025-10-20Read: 6
1、 Precautions before operation
1. Instrument self-cleaning: Before use, it is necessary to perform self-cleaning treatment according to the specifications to ensure that the instrument is in a stable state.
2. Environmental requirements: The laser sensor should be operated in a clean environment to avoid damage from dust or particulate matter.
3. Inlet pipe inspection: If the inlet pipe is blocked or covered, do not start the instrument to avoid damaging the vacuum pump.
2、 Prohibited items during operation
1. Gas restriction: It is prohibited to measure mixed gases that may react (such as hydrogen and oxygen) to prevent explosions.
2. Compressed air: When there is no high-pressure pressure reducing equipment, compressed air cannot be sampled and must be operated at standard atmospheric pressure.
3. Liquid protection: Liquids such as water and solutions are strictly prohibited from entering the sensor inlet pipe.
4. Polluting gas: Avoid sampling gases that are contaminated by the counter's own exhaust.
3、 Special scenario precautions
1. Loose particle environment: When measuring the dust source or spray area, keep the inlet pipe at least 30 cm (12 inches) away.
2. External devices: Before connecting the printer or temperature and humidity sensor, turn off the counter and ensure there is paper when printing.
4、 Maintenance and Calibration
1. Regular calibration: Calibration according to JJF1190-2008 specifications is required annually to adjust the sensitivity of optical and detection systems.
2. Transportation protection: Handle with care to avoid vibration and impact. Special attention should be paid to the protection of internal components of desktop instruments.
5、 Other key tips
1. High pressure difference limit: The working pressure difference should not exceed 200Pa to avoid abnormalities in the pneumatic system or condensation damage to the optical system.
2. Cleanliness matching: The 0.1 μ m sensitivity counter is not suitable for environments with cleanliness>1000 to prevent sensor overload.
