Automatic strapping machines are commonly used equipment to improve packaging efficiency in logistics packaging, e-commerce shipping, and manufacturing finished product packaging scenarios. However, in long-term use, equipment is prone to various problems due to factors such as material characteristics, operating habits, and component wear. Timely investigation and resolution of these problems can ensure smooth packaging processes and reduce production interruptions.
Several common problems and solutions of automatic strapping machine:
1、 Belt failure (unable to send out the strapping)
1. Installation issues with rolls
Check if the tape roll is reversed or not securely fixed, ensuring that the tape face is facing correctly and without any deviation.
Confirm that the threading path is consistent with the instructions to avoid missing guide wheels or threading errors.
2. Abnormal conveyor belt mechanism
If the motor has no running sound, check the power supply (fuse, wiring); If there is a sound of not delivering the belt, it may be due to gear wear or belt slippage.
Clean the oil stains on the conveyor roller and adjust the roller pressure spring to enhance friction.
2、 Poor fusion (insufficient bonding strength)
1. Improper temperature control
PP tape requires 150-170 ℃, PET tape requires 180-200 ℃. Excessive temperature can cause burning, while insufficient temperature can lead to loose adhesion.
After every 500 assignments, sandpaper should be used to polish and heat the head to remove the oxide layer.
2. Voltage or mechanical issues
Unstable voltage can affect the heating effect, and it is necessary to ensure that the fluctuation does not exceed 10%.
Check if the lower bearing of the middle knife is damaged and if the swing rod spring is malfunctioning. It needs to be replaced or adjusted.
3、 Cutting failed (unable to cut the strapping)
1. Cutting knife issue
Passivation or cracking knives need to be polished with a grinding stone, and replaced if severely worn.
Adjust the gap between the cutting blade and the blade holder. If it is too wide, it cannot be cut, and if it is too narrow, it may cause the blade to jam.
2. Drive malfunction
Pneumatic equipment needs to check for cylinder leaks or solenoid valve blockages, replace sealing rings or clean valve bodies.
4、 Tightening abnormality (loose straps after bundling)
1. Tightening mechanism failure
Clean the foreign objects on the tightening wheel. If the wear exceeds 1 millimeter, it needs to be replaced.
Increase the force by tightening the force adjustment knob, but avoid excessive force that may cause the belt to break.
2. Clutch or brake pad issues
If there is a slipping sound, tighten the clutch spring or replace the brake pads.
5、 Sudden shutdown of equipment
1. Emergency stop switch or power supply issue
Check if the emergency stop switch has been reset and if the voltage is stable (with a fluctuation of ≤ 10%).
Check if the circuit connection points are closed and if the shrapnel is stuck by foreign objects.
