The high gravity bed is a new type of distillation equipment, which is used for the separation, purification and recovery of organic solvents. It is composed of one or more high-speed rotating rotors. Gas and liquid flow through the rotor in the reverse spray way for mass transfer.
Due to its ability to be installed indoors, the supergravity bed does not require special protective measures in any particular aspect. At the same time, due to the high height of the tower equipment, certain approval procedures are required. Like other indoor equipment, this equipment can be installed and operated after the overall project approval, without the need for special approval procedures, thus saving a lot of upfront costs. Due to its small volume and small heat dissipation area, the supergravity bed can save energy by approximately 5% to 40% compared to traditional distillation towers under the same conditions, as determined by experts. The supergravity bed equipment rotates at high speed and has a small volume, resulting in less liquid retention and shorter holding time. Depending on the operating conditions, the liquid retention time in the equipment is only about 1-2 minutes, and thermosensitive materials will not evaporate or denature inside the equipment, thus generating significant economic benefits. Materials that decompose over a long period of time at high temperatures are very suitable for using a supergravity bed.
超重力床原理:
1) The supergravity bed uses centrifugal force to disperse the liquid before it comes into contact with the gas, which is more complete than direct contact between the liquid and other substances, improving the specific surface area and mass and heat transfer rate and efficiency of gas-liquid phase contact, and greatly reducing the size of the supergravity bed.
2) A supergravity bed has a rotor with a specific structure that rotates at high speed inside the body. The gas phase enters the machine through the gas inlet and enters the rotor from the outer edge, while the liquid phase enters the center of the rotor through the inlet. The gas-liquid phase forms a gas-liquid interface with a large specific surface area and constantly updates inside the rotor. The supergravity bed has mass and heat transfer rates and efficiency.
The rear gas phase leaves the bed through the outlet and is condensed by the condenser; The liquid phase is collected inside the machine and discharged from the outlet.
The characteristics of a supergravity bed are high mass transfer efficiency, small equipment volume, short residence time, low liquid holding capacity, high operational flexibility, low risk of liquid flooding, strong anti blocking ability for materials with high viscosity, easy to start and stop, and can be used in situations where height and size are limited.
