What are the main precautions for using a low-temperature cooling water circulation pump?

Low temperature coolant circulation pump is a low-temperature liquid circulation equipment that adopts mechanical refrigeration. It has the function of providing low-temperature liquid and low-temperature water bath. Combined with rotary evaporators, vacuum freeze-drying ovens, circulating water vacuum pumps, magnetic stirrers, and other instruments, multifunctional low-temperature chemical reaction operations and drug storage can be carried out.
The precautions for using a low-temperature cooling water circulation pump include the following aspects:
  Environmental requirements:
Waterproof and moisture-proof: During use, be sure not to let the low-temperature coolant circulation pump come into contact with water to avoid circuit breakage and electric shock. Do not use it in environments with high temperature, humidity, corrosive and explosive substances, or expose it to rain or water.
Ventilation and drying: The instrument should be placed in a dry and ventilated place, with no obstacles within 300mm around the instrument, maintaining good ventilation, and the ambient temperature should not exceed 35 ℃.
  Operating standards:
Pre startup inspection: Before use, check whether the pump body and pipeline connections are tight, and confirm that all components are not loose or leaking. Check if the liquid level in the coolant storage tank is sufficient and ensure that the quality of the low-temperature coolant meets the requirements, without solid particles or impurities.
Power on steps: Plug in the power, turn on the switch, wait for 5 minutes, and ensure that the compressor automatically starts working. After starting, observe the operation status of the pump body and pipeline to ensure smooth operation, no abnormal noise or vibration.
Shutdown sequence: After the experiment is completed, turn off the instruments that need to be cooled first, then turn off the circulation pump switch, cooling switch, power switch in sequence, and finally unplug the power plug.
  Media selection and maintenance:
Medium selection: According to the required constant temperature requirements, pour in the corresponding medium (such as pure water, alcohol, antifreeze, etc.), and the liquid level of the medium should be below the cooling coil in the tank and 20mm below the workbench.
Medium type: When the operating temperature is above 10 ℃, it is recommended to use distilled water or deionized water; It is recommended to use ethylene glycol aqueous solution when the operating temperature is between -30 ℃ and 10 ℃; It is recommended to use 99% pure ethanol when the operating temperature is between -80 ℃ and -30 ℃.
Regular maintenance: Regularly inspect the condition of vulnerable parts such as seals and bearings of the low-temperature circulation pump, replace damaged components in a timely manner, and ensure the normal operation of the pump.
  Safety measures:
Anti electric shock: Do not use beyond the specification range and follow the operating instructions in the manual. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the machine slot, and do not operate when removing the casing, motor, and electrical component cover, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
Fire and explosion prevention: When using flammable media such as ethanol, pay attention to fire prevention and ventilation, and strictly prohibit the use of corrosive media such as salt water.
