Licorice liquid extract is a liquid extract made by processing licorice extract. It is a brown or reddish brown liquid with a sweet and slightly bitter taste, soluble in water and ethanol.
Below, the editor will briefly introduce how to extract licorice liquid extract from plants? as shown below
Take dried roots and rhizomes of leguminous plants such as licorice, swollen fruit licorice, or licorice. After removing the dried fibrous roots, soak them in warm water at less than 60 ℃, cut them into thin slices of less than 0.5 cm, add 8 times the amount of water, boil and extract them in reverse flow for 8 times, and then place the leachate in a settling tank for natural settling for 3 hours. Concentrate the supernatant to a thick paste, so that the content of glycyrrhizic acid is not less than 20%, and obtain licorice extract. Take licorice extract and add an appropriate amount of water, stir continuously and heat until it melts. Filter and slowly add 85% ethanol to the filtrate until the ethanol content in the solution reaches around 65%. Let it stand overnight and collect the supernatant; Add 65% ethanol to the remaining precipitate and stir overnight. Take the supernatant; Extract again with 65% ethanol. Combine three extraction solutions, filter, recover ethanol, add water and ethanol to make the content of glycyrrhizic acid greater than 7.0% and the content of ethanol 20%~25%. Adjust the pH value to 7.5~8.5 with ammonia solution, let it stand, and filter the supernatant to obtain.
