
The 5th Environmental Monitoring and Early Warning Technology Seminar and the 2025 Academic Annual Meeting of the Environmental Monitoring Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, jointly hosted by the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences and the China Environmental Monitoring Station, were held in Jinan, Shandong Province from October 15th to 16th. The theme of this conference is "Stereoscopic Perception, Digital Intelligence Empowerment: Building a New Integrated Monitoring Pattern of Sky, Earth, and Sea", focusing on deepening the digital transformation of ecological environment monitoring, supporting the construction of a national ecological environment monitoring network 2.0 version with "global perception, human-machine collaboration, module integration, independent controllability, intelligent efficiency", and assisting in the construction of a beautiful China.
Practice and Prospect of Digital Transformation of National Ecological Environment Monitoring Network 01
This conference attracted more than 1000 participants from the monitoring field across the country to discuss the application of environmental monitoring in ecological environment protection, promote the development and progress of related technologies, and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
At the meeting, Zhang Dawei, Director of the Ecological Environment Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Director of the China Environmental Monitoring Station, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Practice and Prospects of the Digital Transformation of the National Ecological Environment Monitoring Network". He systematically summarized the practical achievements of the national ecological environment monitoring network in the digital transformation over the past year, focusing on the progress made in building four major systems: perception, operation control, data, and application.
In the face of new requirements for ecological civilization construction in the new era and new challenges in the field of ecological environment monitoring, it is necessary to closely focus on the actual needs of ecological environment management, guided by system theory and system engineering methods, guided by "integration", driven by "digitalization and localization", continuously promote the improvement and efficiency of data products and services in the national monitoring network, and achieve the maximization of resource utilization efficiency. He emphasized the need to comprehensively enhance the value output capability of ecological environment monitoring and accelerate the construction of a new generation of national ecological environment monitoring network 2.0 characterized by intelligence and intensification.

During the technical exchange session, Wang Tong, a senior engineer at Qingdao Zhongrui Instrument Co., Ltd., shared a report titled "Technical Research and Application of Portable Field Monitoring Instrument Data Direct Transmission and Management Platform", showcasing the cutting-edge applications and practical achievements of portable monitoring devices in real-time data transmission and intelligent management.
