Aromatic hydrocarbon analysis: Non aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene, and benzene derivatives with less than C12 are directly vented after flowing out of the pre column (see Figure 1A). Before ethylbenzene flows out, switch the valve to "ON" (see Figure 1B) to transfer the retained components to the analysis column WCOT. The internal standard and C8 aromatic hydrocarbons flow out in boiling point order and enter FID detection. After the flow of ortho xylene, immediately blow back the analysis column (see Figure IC) and blow back C9 and above aromatic hydrocarbons from the chromatography column into FID detection.
