140 MPa, Excellent pressure resistance performance

The binary pump adopts the new control technology LBT (Liquid Beat Technology) control technology, which enables stable liquid delivery from the low pressure zone to the high pressure zone of 140 MPa. For gradient analysis in high-pressure areas, well reproducible analysis results can also be obtained.
In addition, the extremely small system volume structure improves gradient responsiveness and strongly supports ultra high speed analysis.

Improved the stability of liquid delivery and achieved extensive analysis from UHPLC to HPLC

Using LBT control technology, the solvent volume elasticity coefficient is corrected, and the stability of liquid delivery is not affected by the liquid delivery pressure and solvent type.
Stable analysis results can also be obtained when using 5 µ m chromatography columns, 3 µ m chromatography columns, and 1.9 µ m chromatography columns for analysis.

High-resolution analysis

Achieve higher separation degree

UHPLC is considered difficult to perform high-resolution analysis of substances and impurities related to synthetic compounds such as drugs and chemical synthesis products.
The newly developed UHPLC uses a high separation chromatography column LaChromUltra II, coupled with sufficient system pressure tolerance of 140 MPa, to achieve high-resolution and high-efficiency analysis.

High resolution analysis of substances (impurities)

A separation model sample using erythromycin (a fourteen membered ring macrolide antibiotic) as the main component and related substances was compared using HPLC chromatography column and UHPLC chromatography column.

High sensitivity analysis

Never let go of hidden risks

The demand for high-sensitivity analysis of harmful substances and genotoxic impurities is increasing day by day. The diode array detector using a total reflection capillary flow cell can meet the needs of higher sensitivity analysis. In addition, a high-sensitivity flow cell with an optical path length of 65 mm is also provided.
And combined with the double helix mixer and the reduction of sample residue, it supports high-sensitivity analysis.

Total reflection capillary high-sensitivity flow cell

The new optical system of diode array detector (DAD) effectively reduces noise and drift, ensuring high sensitivity analysis results. By using (optional) a high-sensitivity flow cell (optical path: 65 mm), higher sensitivity analysis can be achieved.
The sensitivity is approximately 10 times that of our previous model (LaChromUltra), making it suitable for samples that require high-sensitivity analysis of substances (impurities), genotoxic impurities, and other related substances. It can be flexibly used for impurity spectrum control in the initial stages of raw materials, intermediates, and raw materials of drugs and chemical synthesis products.

The quartz glass capillary is used in the flow path of the flow cell, and the total reflection at the capillary interface is utilized to successfully reduce the loss of transmitted light in the flow cell.
Therefore, even if the optical path length of the flow cell is extended, the same baseline performance as before can be ensured, thereby achieving high sensitivity analysis.

The binary pump is equipped with a new double helix mixer with microfluidic engineering as standard.
Under the premise of low capacity, high mixing performance has been achieved, so extremely stable baselines can be obtained in gradient analysis, achieving higher sensitivity analysis.

High tolerance and high pressure resistance performance, achieving high separation degree

The organic-inorganic composite silicone material used in LaChromUltra II has better physical and chemical resistance than previous silicone particles. To maximize the high pressure resistance performance of UHPLC, a chromatography column with a particle size of 1.9 µ m and a length of 250 mm has been added, which can not only perform ultra high speed analysis but also high separation analysis, thus expanding the application of UHPLC.
