Cleanert Dior is a glycol based extraction column based on high-purity spherical silica gel. By polar action, polar samples are extracted from non-polar solutions. In terms of hydrogen bonding properties with the samples, it is similar to unbound silica gel and can distinguish structurally similar compounds such as isomers like silica gel columns. In addition, it can also be used to extract non-polar compounds, as the carbon chains on their bonded phases can provide sufficient non-polar forces to retain hydrophobic samples.
