Pregnant diamond drill bit is a type of drill bit with diamond particles uniformly embedded in the body of the drill bit. When drilling, the body of the diamond is worn out, and the diamond is continuously exposed to drill the rock. It is possible to continuously grind the entire body of the diamond, and new exposed diamonds are used for work, similar to grinding metal materials with a grinding wheel. The tire body has a certain height, with an outer diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the drill bit body and an inner diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the drill bit body. There are water tanks on the outer, inner, and bottom surfaces of the tire body to remove rock powder and cool the drill bit through flushing liquid. Most impregnated diamond drill bits use synthetic diamonds, known as artificial impregnated diamond drill bits. Artificial diamond is much cheaper than natural diamond and can also be widely used for drilling in hard formations.
