Bursting resistance refers to the maximum pressure value recorded when the elastic film breaks the circular area of the paper sample under the pressure applied by the hydraulic system, which includes the pressure required for the film to extend. In the paper and cardboard industry, durability is an important indicator for measuring material strength, which reflects the material's ability to resist rupture under pressure. According to the GB 1539 standard, the burst resistance test is applicable to all cardboard with a burst resistance range of 350 kPa to 5500 kPa, including corrugated cardboard and hard cardboard. It can also be applied to specific paper and cardboard materials with a burst resistance as low as 250 kPa, but the accuracy and precision of the measurement results may be reduced within this range.
NPD-ZDFully automatic burst strength testerTest scope and application
The GB 1539 standard specifies the testing range for burst resistance, and specifically states that for materials with a burst resistance between 350 kPa and 1400 kPa, non hard cardboard and corrugated cardboard with a burst resistance below 600 kPa should be tested using the GB/T 454 method,
Testing principle and operation: The sample is placed on the elastic film between the upper and lower clamps of the durability tester, and the clamp tightly grips the edge of the sample to ensure that the sample and the film protrude freely together. As hydraulic fluid is pumped in at a constant rate, the adhesive film gradually bulges until the sample ruptures. At this point, the maximum pressure applied is the fracture strength of the sample.
NPD-ZDFully automatic burst strength testerThe entire experimental process is controlled by a touch screen and displayed in real-time on a LCD screen. It is not only easy to operate, but also the test results can be automatically printed and output, greatly improving the testing efficiency and accuracy. This instrument complies with international standards and requirements such as GB/T6545 "Paperboard - Determination of Bursting Strength", ISO2759 "Paperboard - Determination of Bursting Strength", and GB1539 "Method for Determining Bursting Strength of Paperboard", ensuring international mutual recognition of test results.
