The Picarro G2307 gas concentration analyzer can accurately measure formaldehyde (H2CO), methane (CH4), and water vapor (H2O) in real-time. This analyzer is equipped with coating components in key gas pathways, which reduces the tendency of H2CO molecules to adhere to the surface of the gas pathway, thereby improving the measurement response time. This analyzer is an ideal solution for atmospheric research and monitoring of formaldehyde in photochemical smog and various emission sources. Can be used to measure sensitive trace amounts of formaldehyde and environmental formaldehyde to ensure indoor air quality.

For H2CO, the accuracies at 2 seconds, 10 seconds, and 5 minutes are 1.2 ppb, 0.6 ppb, and 0.1 ppb, respectively. For CH4, the accuracies are 20 ppb, 10 ppb, and 2 ppb, respectively. For H2CO at 0-20 ppb, the rise time (10-90%) and fall time (90-10%) are within 1 minute. The drift within 24 hours at standard temperature and pressure (STP) is 1.5 ppb. The water calibration software will automatically report the dry gas mole fraction to help reduce the complexity of research work and save consumable costs.

| Calibrating any gas phase analyzer using formaldehyde standard solution is a challenging task. Methane (CH4) is a commercially available gas whose absorption spectrum is adjacent to formaldehyde, making it an excellent proxy gas for verifying accuracy and linearity. The use of CH4 can be successfully validated on Picarro G2307, so there is no need to calibrate with H2CO standard solution.
