The GC-8801SH helium ionization detector gas chromatograph PDD pulse discharge helium ionization detector system adopts a center cutting and blowback technology with two valves and three columns. The injection, switching, cutting, and blowback processes are automatically controlled by the time program set by the workstation. After being separated by the system, the sample is carried into the detector by a carrier gas. The sample molecules or atoms are ionized by photons emitted by helium gas discharge, generating electrons. The emitted electrons are captured by the collection electrode under the bias electric field, forming a voltage signal. This signal is amplified and processed to form the chromatographic peak of the sample.
