Thermal conductivity detector:TCDThe sensitive element is a hot wire, such as tungsten wire, platinum wire, rhenium wire, and a bridge is composed of hot wires. After passing through a constant current, the temperature of the tungsten wire increases, and its heat is transferred to the pool wall through the surrounding carrier gas molecules. When the tested component enters the thermal conductivity cell together with the carrier gas, the thermal conductivity of the mixed gas is different from that of the pure carrier gas (usually lower than that of the carrier gas), and the heat transmitted by the tungsten wire to the cell wall also changes, resulting in a change in the temperature of the tungsten wire and a change in its resistance, which in turn generates an unbalanced potential at the output end of the bridge as a signal output.TCDIt is also a universal detector, but its sensitivity is relatively low and cannot meet the requirements of trace analysis.
