4. Calibration of measuring cylinder

4.1.Weigh the total mass of a dry measuring cylinder and a flat glass (scraper).

4.2.Fill the measuring cylinder with distilled water and carefully scrape off the distilled water at the top of the measuring cylinder with a scraper, ensuring that the scraper is tightly attached to the top of the measuring cylinder. 5.3.Use a straightedge to scrape off any excess samples on the measuring cylinder. When scraping, the straightedge should be approximately level with the upper surface of the measuring bucket450Scrape the corners perpendicular to each other four times.
