1、 Overview of Muffler
1. Muffler is one of the effective measures to reduce aerodynamic noise, which is a common source of noise pollution in ventilation and air conditioning equipment. Installing a muffler can reduce noise pollution. A muffler is a device that allows airflow to pass smoothly while effectively preventing or reducing the outward propagation of sound energy. The muffler should meet the following five requirements:
A、 Acoustic performance requirements: It should have good noise reduction characteristics, with sufficient noise reduction within the required frequency range under certain working environments such as flow rate, temperature, humidity, and pressure, or with sufficient noise reduction within a wide frequency range to meet the needs;
B、 Aerodynamic performance requirements: The muffler should have low resistance to airflow, low resistance coefficient, and low airflow regeneration noise generated when the airflow passes through the muffler. Mufflers should not affect the normal operation of aerodynamic equipment:
C、 Structural performance requirements: The muffler should have a small volume, light weight, simple structure, and be easy to process, install, and maintain;
D、 Appearance and decoration requirements: The muffler should have a beautiful and elegant appearance, and its volume and shape should meet the overall layout requirements of the equipment
E、 Comprehensive requirements: Mufflers should be inexpensive and have a long service life. When selecting, a comprehensive analysis and evaluation should be conducted to coordinate the requirements of all parties and determine the best solution;
2. The installation of mufflers should meet the following requirements:
A、 The interface of the muffler should be firm: The muffler should be installed on the equipment or pipeline that needs to be silenced, and the connection of the muffler should be firm. The muffler with a large weight should be supported on a special load-bearing frame, and attention should be paid to the strength and rigidity of the support frame:
B、 Other noises should be prevented from entering the rear end of the muffler: The noise radiated by the muffler equipment in the casing or pipeline may enter the rear end of the muffler, resulting in a decrease in the muffler effect. If necessary, sound insulation treatment can be carried out on the muffler casing or part of the pipeline. In the air conditioning system of the equipment, the number of mufflers should be reduced to meet the requirements of installation and near the use room. The exhaust muffler should be installed as much as possible in the pipe section with balanced airflow;
C、 Precautions for installation site of muffler: It is best to add a rain cover when using the muffler outdoors, and a filter should be added in places with dust. The general ventilation muffler should have a gas dust content of less than 150mm/m3, and should not allow the passage of water mist, oil stains, or corrosive gases

2、 ZT100 type muffler
Zp100 muffler is a relatively new type of noise reduction product, mainly used for noise control in various ventilation and air conditioning systems, which can effectively reduce aerodynamic noise. It has a wide range of applicable air volume, complete series specifications, good compatibility with standard air ducts, high noise reduction, low airflow resistance, and is characterized by fire, moisture, mold, and moth prevention. Especially suitable for various large public buildings, such as broadcasting and television buildings, cinemas, and conference halls. The noise reduction of ventilation and air conditioning systems in hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, office buildings, high-end residences, etc. is also applicable to the noise reduction of ventilation and air conditioning systems in factories and enterprises.
The ZP100 muffler series has a total of 49 different specifications, suitable for air flow rates of 720~90000m3/h, noise reduction of 15dB (A)/m, and pressure loss of 14-55Pa. The ZP100 muffler has a sound-absorbing sheet thickness of 100mm and an effective length of 1000mm per section. Depending on the sound-absorbing requirements and installation location on site, several mufflers can be used in series combination.

ZG type resistive tube muffler
Zg type resistive tube muffler - generally installed at the inlet and outlet of the fan, used to reduce the noise during fan operation. The muffler is a resistive muffler, divided into two types: circular and square. The inner wall is made of galvanized perforated sheet, and the interlayer is filled with ultra-fine glass wool as sound-absorbing material. The composite layer is made of glass fiber cloth, and the galvanized perforated sheet is made of resistive sound-absorbing sheet. This product has less airflow resistance and good sound absorption effect. When the cross-section of the square muffler is ≥ 630X630mm, appropriate resistive sound-absorbing sheet should be added.

T701-6 ventilation air conditioning fan with matching muffler

WX type microporous plate muffler
The WX type microporous plate muffler is a dual cavity structure with a wide absorption frequency band. It has a relatively flat and large noise reduction effect for each frequency band, especially for the low-frequency part, which is superior to impedance composite mufflers using fibrous sound-absorbing materials.
This series of mufflers is matched with corresponding series of flange diameters according to the national common ventilation duct specifications (square, rectangular, circular). The effective length is generally 2000mm. It can also be produced according to user requirements, and several sections can be connected in series in the middle according to the requirements of noise reduction. The flow rate of the muffler is generally ≤ 15m/s.

bend muffler
The use of soundproof elbows is a simple and effective measure for noise reduction. The soundproof elbows can not only change the direction of wind propagation, but also make the arrangement of fans and ducts more flexible and reasonable. The soundproof elbow can be installed horizontally or vertically. For larger elbows, a guide plate can be added. On the premise of ensuring aerodynamic performance, the pipeline can be made into a right angle inner arc soundproof elbow. The soundproof elbow is mainly suitable for noise control in various ventilation and air conditioning systems. It has a wide range of applicable air volume, a complete series of specifications, and can be connected with standard air ducts. It has excellent soundproof performance, low airflow resistance, and easy installation.
