Overview

The SRB detection kit is a device that uses enzyme immunoassay to rapidly detect sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB). This test uses high-purity antibodies to detect adenosine-5 '- phosphosylmethioesterase (APS), which is a common feature of all SRB strains.

QuickChekTMSRB rapid detection kitIntroduction:

High purity antibodies selectively capture APS reductase by attaching to small particles. Small particles and captured reductases are isolated into a porous membrane, forming a reaction layer on the surface and turning blue, indicating the presence of APS reductases. QuickChekTM SRB has many advantages over cell capture technology, such as speed and accuracy. This device can detect all SRB contents in solid and semi-solid samples, including SRB that cannot survive in some standard media. The test results will not be disturbed by common chemicals or salts detected on site.

The QuickChekTM SRB detection kit is an integrated disposable device. Each kit includes all necessary materials for detecting SRB. No pre-treatment or dilution of the test sample is required, and no special hazardous waste is generated.

QuickChekTMSRB rapid detection kitcharacteristic:

  • Semi quantitative results

  • Detect all viable or non viable SRB samples

  • 8-10 minutes to obtain test results

  • Simultaneously test 2-3 samples

  • The detection limit is 103 per milliliter

  • The range for detecting 'clean' water is 101 per milliliter

QuickChekTMProcess description:
The QuickChekTM SRB detection kit uses the basic principle of enzyme related immunoadsorption assay to determine the content of sulfate reducing bacteria. After the sample is filtered, cleaned, and filtered again, SRB bacteria will be enriched in the filter cake, and then the cell wall will be dissolved using activated reagents to release APS reductase. After filtration, pour the solution into an immunoassay bottle containing freeze-dried antibodies. The solution is mixed in an immune reagent bottle, and during the standing process, small particles coated with antibodies bind to APS reductase. Then, the culture mixture is poured onto the test membrane, and the small particles will adhere to it. Rinse the test membrane repeatedly with cleaning solution. Once the cleaning solution is absorbed by the membrane, rinse the membrane with a color developing solution. After the color reaction time, the concentration of SRB bacteria can be determined by comparing the color of the membrane with the color chart.
