The supergravity distillation machine is a new type of high-efficiency distillation equipment, invented by Zhejiang University of Technology and jointly developed by Hangzhou Keli Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. It applies supergravity technology to continuous distillation processes in industrial production. The supergravity distillation machine consists of one or more high-speed rotating rotors. Gas and liquid flow through the rotors in a reverse flow manner for contact mass transfer. The high supergravity bed is equivalent to a commonly used distillation tower 15 meters high, which is a major breakthrough over traditional plate and packed towers. The product has been identified by a national expert group and has reached a leading level (invention numbers: ZL011343214, ZL200510049145.1, US 7344126 B2). In 2007, it was approved by the National Science and Technology Innovation Fund. In 2008, it won the first prize for scientific and technological progress from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association. In 2010, it won the second prize for scientific and technological inventions from the Ministry of Education.
