Overview
The SMPSTM scanning electron mobility particle size spectrometer launched by TSI is widely used as a measurement standard for measuring the particle size distribution of aerosols below 1 micron. This system is also applied to accurately measure the nanoparticle size of liquid suspended particles. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States measured the standard reference particle sizes of 60nm and 100nm using a TSI differential electrostatic mobility analyzer (DMA). SMPSTM scanning electron mobility particle size spectrometer particle size measurement is a cautious technique, in which the counting concentration is directly measured without assuming the shape of the particle size distribution.
Product Details

3757 type nanoenhancer

particle size range

Minimum detectable

Particle (D50): 1.4 nm (electric mobility diameter, geometric diameter 1.1 nm), verified with sodium chloride particles

traffic

Aerosol flow rate: 2.5 L/min

Aerosol outlet flow rate: 1.0 L/min

Transport flow rate: 1.5 L/min

Flow source: external vacuum

Flow control: The volumetric flow is controlled by the internal orifice plate of the conveying flow. The aerosol flow rate is controlled by the 3750 CPC.

Aerosol medium

Suggest using it together with air; Can be safely used with inert gases such as nitrogen, argon, and helium (technical parameters applicable to air)

Liquid system

Diethylene glycol (DEG, ≥ 99%, exclusive) is used as the working fluid. Use a water separator and a refillable dryer to dry the sheath gas. Suggest using an internal drainage pump to remove condensed water.

Communication

Embedded touch display screen, USB-C type, can directly connect the nanoenhancer to the 3750 CPC.

Required attachments

Electrical: 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, minimum power 240W. Automatic recovery of built-in power failure

Vacuum: Minimum pressure of 60 kPa (18 in Hg) (below atmospheric pressure)

Includes: water injection and drainage bottles, dryer

Physical characteristics

Size: (H x W x D) 30x28.2x32.5cm (11.8x11x12.6in.), excluding water bottle and holder

Scanning electric mobility particle size spectrometer

Model: 3938

TSI3938, the SMPS TM scanning electron mobility particle size spectrometer launched by TSI, is widely used as a measurement standard for measuring the particle size distribution of aerosols below 1 micron. This system is also applied to accurately measure the nanoparticle size of liquid suspended particles. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States measured the standard reference particle sizes of 60nm and 100nm using a TSI differential electrostatic mobility analyzer (DMA). The SMPS TM scanning electron mobility particle size spectrometer is a cautious technique for particle size measurement, in which the counting concentration is directly measured without assuming the shape of the particle size distribution. This method does not rely on the refractive index of particles or liquids and has high absolute particle size measurement accuracy and measurement repeatability. The third generation 3938 SMPS adopts a modular, component-based design, which not only has a very high particle size resolution, but also has fast scanning (less than 15 seconds per scan) and automatic component recognition function. TSI SMPS is easy to use and can provide researchers with the highest quality data, making it the best choice for measuring nanoparticle size distribution. TSI's 3938 instrument is the third generation product of SMPS and has been trusted by researchers for 30 years.
