Introduction to Small Mountain Drilling Machine Products

Small mountain drilling rig is a type of seismic exploration drilling equipment for mountainous areas, which can be widely used in rugged mountainous regions where vehicle mounted drilling rigs cannot operate.

Working principle of small mountain drilling rig

1. Hydraulic system

The drilling rig converts the mechanical energy of the engine into hydraulic energy through a hydraulic variable oil pump, and transmits it to two quantitative hydraulic motors through pipelines, thereby achieving the rotation, pressurization, and lifting of the drilling tool.

2. Drilling engine

The engine assembly serves as the power source for the drilling rig and drives the hydraulic oil pump through a coupling.

3. Derrick

The derrick serves as the support and guide rail for the power head and pressure motor, bearing the axial force and rotational torque generated during the drilling process.

4. Function and structure of power head

The power head is mainly used to drive the rotation of drilling tools, transmit torque to the drill bit through the drill rod, and cooperate with the impact of the drill bit and the system pressure to achieve the drilling purpose. The structure of the power head is shown in Figure 4. The hydraulic motor shaft is connected to the central pipe through a flat key to drive the drilling tool to achieve rotation.

5. Radiator

The radiator assembly consists of a radiator, a fan, and a DC motor.

During the operation of the drilling rig, the hydraulic system generates a large amount of heat energy. The independent fan is driven by a DC motor to cool the circulating hydraulic oil in the radiator by suction, ensuring the normal operation of the hydraulic system.

6. Air compressor unit

The air compressor unit consists of an air compressor and an engine. The function of the air compressor host is to provide a flushing medium - compressed air - for the drilling rig to perform air drilling and air vibration drilling.

7. Down the hole impactor

The down the hole impactor is the main drilling tool for air drilling in mountain drilling rigs. It uses compressed air to cause the piston of the down the hole impactor to produce reciprocating motion and drive the drill bit to achieve rock drilling. The drilling tool has a simple structure, high rock drilling efficiency, and easy use and maintenance.
