The WS-601 utilizes industry-leading MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers, integrates advanced wave dynamics algorithms, and performs comprehensive and stable calibration to provide real-time high-precision measurements of wave height (heave), roll, and pitch dynamics for marine applications. It is also equipped with an intuitive and convenient graphical human-machine interface. It can measure the posture and dynamic changes of ship hulls, offshore platforms, or underwater towing bodies, and can also be used in conjunction with shipborne or marine measurement equipment. The range of WS-601 three-axis accelerometer is ± 2g, and the angular velocity range measured by three-axis gyroscope is ± 100 º/sec. The data fusion of accelerometers and gyroscopes is achieved through Kalman filtering based on wave models and heave integrators through a built-in signal processor. The result of filtering is to supplement the short-term accuracy of the gyroscope with the long-term stability of acceleration to obtain the optimal dynamic estimation of pitch and roll angles, as well as to minimize the vertical position drift error to obtain accurate heave height and vertical velocity.
Before leaving the factory, WS-601 undergoes temperature and dynamic calibration of aviation grade precision turntables to ensure reliable operation in harsh environments. In addition, WS-601 can also be externally connected with GPS NMEA or Honeywell HMR3000 codes to correct heading and improve accuracy. Relevant hardware and firmware will be provided according to customer requirements.
