Instrument Overview

It is a single parameter measuring instrument developed based on the domestic water quality situation and regulatory requirements, which conforms to the HJ/T399-2007 standard and can meet the daily measurement requirements of the laboratory, in line with the usage habits of domestic users. The determination of COD is carried out using the closed catalytic digestion colorimetric method with a digestion tube, which is recognized by the US EPA. The sample values are directly displayed after being processed by imported cold light sources, narrowband interference technology, and microcomputer automatic data processing. The instrument is widely used in environmental monitoring, sewage treatment, scientific research institutions, and colleges and universities.

Detection Principle

Using a closed digestion tube for closed digestion, a specialized oxidant containing a certain amount of potassium dichromate is used in a strong acidic solution. Under the action of a catalyst, the solution is dissolved at a constant temperature of 165 ℃ to oxidize the reducing substances in the water. The absorbance of Cr6+and Cr3+in the water sample is measured at different wavelengths, and the COD content in the water is calculated based on the absorbance.
