Paint and coatings

The minimum film-forming temperature (MFFT) refers to the lowest temperature at which paint or coating applied to a substrate forms a uniform thin film. According to the provisions of ASTM D 2354 and ISO 2115 standards, MFFT-BAR can be used as the standard test for low film formation temperature. Rhopoint is designed based on these standards.

The testing method for the lowest film-forming temperature of single component adhesives is similar to that of paints and coatings. For two-component adhesives, place a strip of aluminum foil on the sample board before application for easy cleaning. The two-component adhesive does not show the lowest film-forming temperature, and the lowest curing temperature can be determined by scraping the sample with a spatula.

The new MFFT-BAR low film formation temperature analyzer uses a simple and easy-to-use touch screen, with digital display of the lowest film formation temperature and convenient output of temperature calculation results to labels.

This increases the reliability of the Rhopotzui low film-forming temperature analyzer, making it easy to operate and improving the certainty of the results.

The thermometer includes a copper sample plate with an electric heating gradient. The built-in temperature sensor monitors the entire copper sample board, and a diagonal graphic is displayed on the touch screen.

The discharged gas is completely dried and evenly distributed on the sample plate through a sintering distribution system. The hinged organic glass cover serves as insulation and air barrier, while also facilitating observation of the testing process. Move the cursor to the determined lowest film-forming point displayed; The instrument calculates and displays the temperature in the required units.

The instrument can provide an optional result label printer, which records values including test date and time, test time, and determined minimum film-forming temperature. Printing labels can be attached to sample bottles or worksheets.
