Overview: Concentrator is the data centralized unit of intelligent meter reading system. The concentrator processes and exchanges data information between the main control machine and form elements by establishing a reliable communication channel. It can be configured according to demand to automatically read meters at a scheduled time every day, one or two days of the month. The data after meter reading is saved in the concentrator for the main control machine to read at any time. The main control machine can read meter data through modem dialing, RS-232 or GPRS wireless meter reading methods. It can read the meter reading data already read and saved in the concentrator, and also enable the concentrator to operate the collector and meter unit to extract new meter reading data from the meter unit.

When using the modem mode, connect the concentrator to the telephone line provided by the telecommunications bureau, and the concentrator will automatically respond to incoming calls, receive meter reading instructions uploaded from the telephone line, and complete the operation of data collectors and meters in the area.
When using RS-232 meter reading, the concentrator is connected to the serial port of the main control machine through a serial extension cable.
When using GPRS wireless meter reading, the main control machine accesses the concentrator connected to the CDMA/GPRS network through the Internet to achieve wireless meter reading. There is no need for wiring between the concentrator and the main controller, but it is required that the location where the concentrator is installed is covered with CDMA/GPRS network and the signal is good. At the same time, it is also required that the main controller can access the Internet network and the network condition is good.
