The parallel reactor can achieve simple, fast, and high-performance photochemical reaction testing. It can be used for visible photochemical reactions such as photo synthesis reactions, photocatalytic degradation of pollutants, and photocatalytic water splitting for hydrogen production under vacuum, inert gas protection, and flowing atmosphere. The bottom irradiation method using a single point light source can simultaneously achieve multiple sets of UV/visible photochemical reactions, effectively eliminating the influence of factors such as the characteristics of the irradiation light source (intensity, uniformity, direction, etc.) and environmental changes. It is suitable for rapid screening of catalysts and simultaneous conduct of multiple control experiments, thereby improving work efficiency.
The operation steps of the parallel reactor are as follows:
1. Preparation: Connect the power supply. Before using the instrument, first place the eight reactors into the main unit box and place the magnet inside the reaction tube. Afterwards, check if the required mercury lamps, reactors, and cooling water circulation devices are properly connected.
2. There are eight reactors (or magnetic stirrers) and power interfaces for the lights inside the reaction chamber. Please connect them according to the instructions.
3. Adjust the light source selection on the controller to ensure that the light source used is consistent with the one on the controller.
4. Turn on the fan switch, reactor switch, and light switch on the controller in sequence, the fan starts working, and the air inside the reaction chamber begins to be discharged.
5. Turn on the power switch on the eight position reactor (or magnetic stirrer) and adjust the stirring speed as needed.
6. The power adjustment of the light source is located at the center of the controller and can be adjusted as needed.
7. There is a microcomputer timer located in the upper right corner of the controller, which can set the working time as needed. Whether using mercury or xenon lamps for experiments, the lamp source must be placed in a quartz cold trap for use.
