Photocatalytic reactorApplication in water quality: The discharge of industrial, agricultural, and domestic wastewater is the main source of water pollution. With the development of industrialization and urbanization in our country, the annual sewage discharge is also constantly increasing. At the same time, China's water resource security is also facing serious threats. Water pollution has led to a reduction in the total amount of valuable water resources, and the low utilization rate and waste of water resources have exacerbated the supply-demand imbalance of water resources in China. The water quality testing of recycled water is an important guarantee for water safety. Therefore, sewage treatment plants can increase investment and equip themselves with high-performance and high-precision water quality testing equipment. Photocatalytic reactors can avoid the impact of large errors in water quality testing results on water treatment work.
This product is specifically designed for photocatalytic reactions and can be used in conjunction with ≤ 20 mL test tubes and Schlenk tubes for photochemical experiments. It supports four channel simultaneous reactions, reducing the number of parallel experiments and increasing the efficiency of researchers in screening photocatalysts. The product adopts a water cooling system that can be connected to circulating water for cooling, which can keep the temperature of the reaction system constant and reduce experimental errors. In addition, the product also adds some flexible and convenient functions that are different from traditional photoreactors, such as adjustable luminous intensity, controllable timing, selectable wavelength, and equipped with acrylic lampshades to protect the operator's eyes.
Operation steps of photocatalytic reactor:
1. Preparation: Connect the power supply. Before using the instrument, place the magnetic stirrer into the main unit box and the magnet into the quartz reaction tube (or reaction vessel). Afterwards, check if the required mercury lamp (xenon lamp), reactor, and cooling water circulation device are connected properly.
2. There is a power interface for the magnetic stirrer and light inside the reaction dark box. Please connect them according to the instructions.
3. Adjust the power knob of the light source on the controller to set the power of the light source to a high state and activate the light.
4. Turn on the fan switch, reactor switch, and light switch on the controller in sequence, and the fan will start working.
5. Turn on the power switch on the magnetic stirrer and adjust the stirring speed as needed.
6. The power adjustment of the light source is located at the center of the controller and can be adjusted as needed.
7. The upper right corner of the controller is equipped with a microcomputer timer, and the working time of the photocatalytic reactor can be set as needed.
Specifically, photocatalytic reactors generally refer to reaction equipment with microstructures manufactured through microfabrication and precision machining techniques. The fluid channels or dispersion scales inside the microreactor are in the micrometer range, and the processing capacity of the microreactor ranges from a few microliters per minute to tens of thousands of cubic meters per year depending on its application purpose. In recent years, research on flow, mixing, and reaction related to microreactors has developed rapidly, driving the rapid development of microreactor technology.
