As an important mixing equipment in modern industry and laboratories, magnetic stirring tanks have achieved safe and efficient fluid handling capabilities through non-contact magnetic transmission technology. Its core design breaks through the sealing limitations of traditional mechanical agitation and is widely used in fields such as pharmaceuticals, chemical engineering, and biotechnology.
1、 Working principle
1. Structural composition and magnetic field driving mechanism
The magnetic stirring tank consists of three core components: magnetic drive device, stirring element, and sealed container. The driving device includes a permanent magnet array or electromagnetic coil, which is driven by a motor to rotate the magnetic poles to form an alternating magnetic field. The agitator is usually made of neodymium iron boron permanent magnet, encapsulated in a corrosion-resistant material (such as PTFE) shell, and placed at the bottom of the container. When the external magnetic field rotates, the magnetic field penetrates the container wall and acts on the stirrer, driving it to rotate synchronously to achieve fluid mixing.
2. Dynamic mixing process
The rotation speed of the agitator can reach 50-1500rpm, generating a combined motion mode of radial flow and axial flow during rotation. The shear force formed by high-speed rotation can break up agglomerated particles, while the eddy current effect promotes the uniform distribution of heat and matter. For high viscosity media such as polymer solutions, the mixing efficiency can be enhanced by optimizing the structure of the agitator impeller.
2、 Core technical features
1. Aseptic sealing
Adopting static magnetic coupling transmission technology to eliminate the dynamic sealing link of traditional mechanical stirring and eliminate the risk of medium leakage. The isolation sleeve is made of high-purity quartz glass or Hastelloy alloy material, which is resistant to strong acid and alkali corrosion and meets the sterile production requirements under GMP standards.
2. Efficient mixing capability
Supports full range mixing from low viscosity aqueous solutions to high viscosity slurries (≤ 50000cP), with a mixing efficiency that is over 40% higher than traditional paddle agitation. The specially designed six blade propeller type agitator can create three-dimensional turbulence and eliminate mixing dead corners.
3. Integration of temperature control module
The model is equipped with a PID temperature control system, which achieves precise temperature control from -20 ℃ to 300 ℃ through bottom infrared heating or jacket circulating liquid, with temperature fluctuations of ≤± 0.5 ℃. Some models support real-time feedback of medium temperature using T-type thermocouples to ensure safe handling of thermosensitive materials.
4. Intelligent control system
Equipped with a touch screen operation interface and RS485 communication interface, it can be programmed to set parameters such as speed gradient and temperature control curve, and supports data integration with SCADA systems. Automatically triggering overload protection and emergency stop mechanism under abnormal working conditions to prevent equipment damage.
5. Material compatibility
The container can be made of materials such as 316L stainless steel, enamel glass, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc., to meet the processing needs of special materials such as corrosiveness, photosensitivity, and high purity.
6. Dynamic adjustability
By using a frequency converter to achieve stepless speed regulation, it can adapt to the differentiated requirements of shear force in different mixing stages. In the field of biological fermentation, dissolved oxygen efficiency can be optimized by dynamically adjusting the stirring intensity.
3、 Typical application scenarios
