Ampoule filling and sealing machine, as a key equipment used for quantitative filling and sealing of liquid drugs in the pharmaceutical industry, its operational stability directly affects product quality and production efficiency. Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure the long-term efficient operation of the equipment. However, if attention to details is not paid during the maintenance process, it may lead to a decrease in equipment performance, an increase in safety hazards, and even affect subsequent production. Therefore, mastering the correct maintenance points is crucial.
1、 Power off operation to ensure personal safety
Before carrying out any maintenance work, the power must be cut off first, and a "Do Not Close" warning sign must be hung on the control cabinet to prevent safety accidents caused by misoperation. At the same time, residual air pressure or hydraulic pressure in the system should be released to avoid mechanical damage or personnel injury caused by sudden movements.
2、 Check the wear of key components
  Ampoule filling and sealing machineThe core components include metering pump, filling needle, sealing flame head, transmission mechanism, and positioning fixture. During maintenance, it is important to focus on checking:
1. Whether the metering pump has internal leakage or decreased accuracy;

3. Whether the flame head has carbon deposition or blockage, which affects the sealing quality;
4. Whether the fixture and guide rail are worn or loose, which may cause inaccurate positioning of ampoules;
5. Whether the tension of the transmission chain or synchronous belt is appropriate, and whether there is any jumping phenomenon.
6. If any abnormalities are found, they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner to restore the equipment to its optimal working condition.
3、 Clean and hygienic, prevent cross contamination
Due to the particularity of the pharmaceutical industry, residues inside equipment may cause product contamination. Therefore, during the maintenance process, the filling channels, storage tanks, pipelines, and parts in contact with drugs should be cleaned. If necessary, GMP compliant cleaning agents should be used and dried to prevent bacterial growth or oxidative corrosion.


4、 Calibrate parameters to ensure process consistency
After the maintenance is completed, the equipment should be recalibrated, including:
1. Whether the filling volume setting is accurate;
2. Whether the sealing flame temperature meets the process requirements;
3. Whether the ampoule conveying rhythm matches each workstation;
4. Whether the signals from each sensor are feedback normally.
5. It is recommended to use standard samples for trial operation, confirm that all parameters are stable, and then put them into formal production.
5、 Record the maintenance content for easy tracking and management
Each maintenance should record in detail the replaced parts, adjusted parameters, problems discovered and their solutions, and establish a complete equipment maintenance file. This not only helps with later troubleshooting, but also provides data support for developing preventive maintenance plans.
