A pellet machine is a device that compresses materials into pellets or blocks, typically used for producing pellets such as fertilizers, feed, sawdust, etc. There are different types of pellet machines, among which the swing pellet machine is a common type of pellet machine.
The process principle of the swing pellet machine:
The swing pellet machine sends the compressed material into the compression zone through the movement of the swing arm. Under the clamping action of the high-speed rotating rotor and mold, the material is compressed into particles or blocks. The positioning rod on the swing arm can control the size of particles or blocks.
The pressing area of the swing pellet machine is mainly composed of two parts: the rotor and the mold. A rotor is a type of rotating base plate that drives another component, the mold, to rotate through rotation, generating friction and extrusion force to compress materials into particles or blocks. A mold is a component fixed on the rotor, with holes that allow the material to be compressed and turned into particles or blocks.
The raw materials are transported to the pressure crossing zone through the feeding port, and under the support of the mold and rotor, they are subjected to a certain pressure and friction force at high speed, resulting in a high temperature. This causes the starch in the raw materials to gelatinize and the protein to denature, and the materials are continuously extruded in the mold holes, ultimately forming shaped particles. The particle size can be controlled by adjusting the working parameters of the swing pellet machine.

The pellet machine equipment includes feeding system, compression system, forming system, cooling system, and vibration screening system.
Feeding system: The feeding system of the pellet machine includes pre-treatment stages such as raw material storage, cleaning, crushing, mixing, and water addition. The material must undergo these treatments before entering the pellet machine to ensure the molding effect and quality of the material.
Compression system: The compression system mainly consists of components such as pressure tiles, templates, swing arms, and pressure wheels. After entering the pellet machine, the raw materials are transported to the pressing area through the feeding system. Due to the action of the mold, the materials will generate pressure and high-speed motion, and finally be pressed into formed pellets.
Molding system: The molding system is mainly composed of molds. The shape and number of holes in the mold determine the shape and size of the particles. The formed material is discharged from the pellet machine through vibration and other methods to further achieve molding.
Cooling system: The particles produced by the pellet machine usually have a high temperature and need to be cooled down in order to be stored. The cooling system is mainly composed of cooling equipment, usually using air cooling or water cooling methods,
Vibration screening system: The vibration screening separation system can remove fine powder and small particles from particles to improve particle quality. Usually, vibrating screens are used to sieve finished particles for the purpose of classification, sorting, and cleaning.
