Safety operating procedures for vacuum rake dryer
Date: 2024-08-26Read: 2
1、 Preparation before operation
1. Confirm that the vacuum rake dryer is clean and free of foreign objects.
2. Confirm that the vacuum head (or vacuum cloth cover) is clean, unobstructed, and installed properly.
3. Confirm that the rake teeth are securely fixed to the shaft and there are no scratches or abrasions between the rake teeth and the cavity.
4. Confirm that the tapping rod is clean and intact without deformation.
5. Confirm that the mechanical seals at the front and rear are in good condition, and that the cooling water supply is normal
6. Confirm that the electricity, gas, vacuum, and hot water supply are normal, and that the hot water setting temperature meets the process requirements.
7. Confirm that the temperature control solenoid valve operates normally and the chamber is well sealed.
8. Confirm that the opening and closing status of each pipeline valve meets the production process requirements
9. Confirm that the belt tension is suitable and the gearbox oil level is normal,
10. Confirm that the relevant instruments have been calibrated and are within their validity period, displaying normal and undamaged information.
11. Open vacuum inspection to check for leaks at pipeline connections and ensure good sealing at inlet and outlet ports.
12. Open the cooling water valve and check if there is any leakage at the connection of the heat transfer pipeline, and if the pressure gauge responds sensitively.
2、 Operation steps for use
1. Add the required dry material into the chamber (for powder, fine granular, and slurry materials, vacuum feeding can be used), with a loading amount not exceeding 50%, and then close the feeding cover.
2. After closing the exhaust valve, slowly open the vacuum valve until it is fully open.
3. Set the cold extraction time and rake tooth speed according to the process requirements.
4. Start the motor, press the work button, and the dryer starts working.
5. After the cold extraction is completed, open the hot water return valve, then slightly open the hot water inlet valve, and fully open the hot water inlet valve when the return water temperature rises. Allow hot water to enter the interlayer of the equipment for drying.
6. Observe the temperature gauge on the equipment and start timing when the temperature reaches the required drying temperature for the process. Continuously check whether the temperature and vacuum degree are within the process requirements during operation.
7. After the material is dried, first close the hot water valve, and then slowly inject cooling water into the interlayer. After the material cools to room temperature, stop the vacuum. Open the vacuum valve, stop the dryer from rotating, wait for atmospheric pressure, and discharge from the discharge port. When discharging, the rake teeth can be turned on to adjust the discharge speed.
Note: For devices with automatic control, after setting the temperature, drying time, and related parameters, one click start stop is sufficient.
3、 Precautions
1. Ensure that there are no hard lumps or debris in the material during feeding to prevent personnel safety accidents and equipment damage caused by rotation.
2. When personnel enter the chamber for cleaning or maintenance, they must disconnect the nitrogen pipe and power supply, replace with vacuum for 1-2 minutes, and have personnel supervise outside to avoid safety accidents.
3. During forward and reverse operation, wait until the motor stops rotating before controlling the forward and reverse rotation, otherwise the motor will be damaged.
4、 Maintenance and upkeep
1. The operator conducts a patrol inspection of the chamber and jacket operation pressure, temperature, vacuum degree, etc. every shift to ensure that they are within the safe operating range permitted by the equipment.
2. Operators should pay close attention to the sound of the motor and reducer during equipment rotation.
3. If the equipment is leaking, the maintenance worker should promptly investigate the cause and handle it promptly.
4. Operators and maintenance workers should use visual, tactile, and auditory methods to inspect equipment. They should check the appearance, touch the temperature rise, and listen to the sound to determine whether the equipment is operating normally. If there are any hidden dangers, they should be reported in a timely manner.
5. After each shift, the residue inside the chamber should be cleaned thoroughly to maintain the cleanliness of the entire machine. The filter should be removed and cleaned regularly to ensure the smoothness of the filter screen and vacuum pipeline.
6. Apply composite calcium based lubricating grease to the bearings every month.
7. Check the grounding wire between the electrical control cabinet and the host every month to ensure good grounding and no leakage occurs.
8. Check and adjust the tension of the transmission belt and chain every quarter, and add lubricating oil to the worm gear reducer.
9. Check the connections of motors, worm gear reducers, pulleys, sprockets, bearing seats, etc. every quarter to ensure they remain securely fastened at all times.
