Strict control of quality issues is required during the phased operation of the prototype granulator
Trial production pellet machineThe operation process needs to be carried out in four stages: "mixing → granulation → drying → granulation", with real-time monitoring of equipment status and material quality to avoid unqualified particles.
Mixing stage (core: material uniformity)
Slowly add the weighed powder raw materials into the hopper (to avoid dust flying, the feeding funnel can be used), close the safety door, and start the stirring blade;
After mixing for 3-5 minutes, take a small amount of material and check for uniformity (if there is no obvious color difference visually and no particle sensation by hand twisting). If it is uneven, extend the mixing time (increase by 1 minute each time, no more than 2 times at most).
Granulation stage (core: particle size and hardness)
Start the cutting blade, slowly add the adhesive at the preset rate, and observe the state of the material in the hopper: initially it is "loose and fluffy", gradually forming "wet small particles";
Real time sampling inspection: Use standard sieves (such as 20 mesh and 40 mesh) to screen particles, ensuring that more than 80% of the particles pass through the 20 mesh sieve and do not pass through the 40 mesh sieve (meeting the requirements of the pilot particle size). If the particles are too large (clumping), increase the cutter speed. If the particles are too fine (with too much powder), slow down the adhesive addition rate.
Drying stage (core: material moisture content)
After granulation is completed, turn on the drying system (hot air circulation) to monitor the inlet/outlet air temperature and material temperature in real time (to avoid material denaturation caused by high temperature);
Take samples every 5 minutes to measure the moisture content (using a rapid moisture analyzer), ensuring that the moisture content meets the requirements of the pilot test (such as 2% -5%, set according to the material characteristics). After reaching the standard, turn off the drying system and cool the material to room temperature (to prevent subsequent clumping).
Whole grain stage (core: particle uniformity)
Send the cooled particles into the granulator (equipped with a sieve matching the granulation stage), start the equipment to crush a small amount of agglomerated particles, and make the particle size more uniform;
After granulation, use a standard sieve to screen again and remove particles that are too large (>20 mesh) and too small (<40 mesh) (small particles can be recovered and added proportionally during the next granulation). Collect qualified particles for later use.
