The main difference between a regular oven and a precision oven
Date: 2025-12-27Read: 7

The main differences between a regular oven and a precision oven lie in materials, temperature uniformity, energy consumption, quality, and safety protection

Material: Precision ovens use higher quality high-temperature resistant materials, such as 304 thick stainless steel, 310S high-temperature resistant stainless steel, and 316 stainless steel, while ordinary ovens may use galvanized sheet or ordinary stainless steel.

Temperature uniformity: Precision ovens have higher temperature uniformity, with a temperature distribution error of ≤± 1 ℃, while ordinary ovens may have larger temperature fluctuations, with some even fluctuating from plus or minus 5 ℃ to 10 ℃.

Energy consumption: After reaching the set temperature, the power of a precision oven decreases by 80% to 90%, and the overall output is only 10% to 20%, which is very energy-saving, while the energy consumption of a regular oven is relatively high.

Quality assurance: Precision ovens use high-temperature resistant electronic components, which have a long service life and low failure rate, while ordinary ovens may use components that are not heat-resistant, resulting in a higher failure rate in the later stages.

Security protection: Precision ovens are usually equipped with high-temperature protection and automatic power-off systems when overloaded, while ordinary ovens may not have these protective devices.

In summary, precision ovens are superior to ordinary ovens in terms of materials, temperature control, energy consumption, quality, and safety protection, but the price is relatively high. The choice of oven should be determined based on actual needs and budget.
