The maintenance and upkeep of a confocal Raman spectrometer should be based on the characteristics of core components such as the optical system, laser, and detector. The following are specific methods:
1、 Optical system maintenance
1. Cleaning of laser window and sample pool
Dip a dust-free cloth in 70% isopropanol and wipe the laser window unidirectionally to avoid scratching the coating; The sample pool needs to be immediately cleaned of residues to prevent lens corrosion.
2. Filter and grating maintenance
Regularly check for dust or fingerprint contamination on the filter/grating, use compressed air or lens paper to gently wipe, and avoid direct contact.
2、 Laser management
1. Power and duration control
Monitor the stability of laser output power (fluctuation should be ≤± 5%), and it is recommended to use it for no more than 4 hours per use to avoid overheating.
2. Cooling system maintenance
Check the water cooling cycle every quarter (temperature 20 ± 2 ℃) to ensure normal heat dissipation.
3、 Detector and Calibration
1. Detector protection
Avoid direct sunlight and cover with a dust cover when idle for a long time; Detect dark current annually, and if it exceeds 0.5nA/cm ², it needs to be repaired.
2. Optical path calibration
Calibrate the peak offset (≤± 1cm ⁻¹) every six months using standard samples (such as silicon wafers), and adjust the slit using specialized tools.
4、 Environment and Storage
1. Short term storage
Keep powered on, turn on 1-2 times a week for 30 minutes each time to prevent component aging.
2. Long term storage
Temperature of 15-25 ℃, humidity of 30% -60%, preheating with electricity once a month, and fixing optical components during transportation.
5、 Precautions
1. Prohibit the use of cleaning agents with an alcohol concentration greater than 75% to avoid corrosion of the coating.
2. The replacement of core components should be carried out by engineers to prevent parameter mismatches.
Systematic maintenance can improve instrument stability, and it is recommended to establish maintenance records to document maintenance details.
