Maintenance methods for wireless temperature and humidity transmitters
Date: 2025-04-15Read: 7
1、 Daily maintenance
1. Cleaning and dust prevention
External cleaning: Use a soft cotton cloth or dust-free cloth to wipe the surface of the equipment to avoid dust blocking the ventilation holes or sensor areas. Do not use acidic or alkaline cleaning agents or organic solvents.
Sensor cleaning: Regularly wipe the temperature and humidity sensor probe with an alcohol swab to prevent stains from affecting measurement accuracy (power off during operation).
2. Calibration management
At least one comprehensive calibration should be conducted annually, and if any data deviation is found, it should be calibrated immediately. Check the stability of the power supply and environmental interference (such as electromagnetic fields and vibration sources) before calibration.
3. Environmental monitoring
Ensure that the installation location of the equipment is away from heat sources, chemical corrosion sources, and strong electromagnetic interference. It is recommended to be at least 1.5 meters above the ground.
Monitor the temperature and humidity of the operating environment to avoid prolonged exposure of the equipment to high temperatures (>30 ℃) or high humidity (>80% RH).
2、 Regular in-depth maintenance
1. Electrical system inspection
Check the power terminal and wireless module connection for firmness every 3-6 months, and clean the oxide layer on the relay contacts (which can be polished with fine sandpaper).
Test insulation performance: Use a 500V megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between the terminal block and the housing, which must comply with the manufacturer's specified standards.
2. Key component maintenance
Sensor inspection: Clean the sediment on the surface of the sensor to prevent debris from blocking the conduit or corroding sensitive components.
Sealing test: Check the waterproof joint or sealing ring of the shell to prevent rainwater or moisture from infiltrating and causing damage to the circuit.
3. Wireless module maintenance
Regularly test signal stability to avoid communication interruptions caused by loose or obstructed antennas.
Check the battery or power supply system status to ensure that the wireless transmission module continues to operate stably.
3、 Data and Communication Maintenance
1. Data record verification
Export historical data through specialized software, compare actual environmental trends, and verify the completeness and accuracy of device records.
2. Communication protocol testing
Simulate a network outage scenario and test whether the data storage and network recovery of the equipment in offline mode are functioning properly.
4、 Exception handling and recording
1. Common fault response
Data drift: Check for sensor contamination or calibration parameter drift, and replace the sensor or recalibrate PID parameters if necessary.
Communication interruption: Check for poor antenna contact, power failure, or external signal interference sources.
2. Maintenance record management
Detailed records of each maintenance task (such as calibration date, replacement component model, etc.) are kept to facilitate the traceability of equipment status.
3. Precautions
Operation safety: Power off before maintenance to avoid the risk of short circuit or electric shock caused by live operation.
Compliant cleaning: It is prohibited to rinse the equipment directly with water, and the cleaning agent must meet the material requirements of the equipment.
Manual compliance: Strictly follow the maintenance manual provided by the manufacturer for operation, and non professionals are not allowed to disassemble core components without authorization.
