The correct usage method of cold chain temperature and humidity monitoring system
Date: 2025-07-10Read: 7
The correct use of the cold chain temperature and humidity monitoring system should follow the following core points to ensure data accuracy and compliance:
1、 Equipment installation and deployment
1. Scientific placement of probes
Key area coverage: At least two probes should be deployed inside the refrigerated compartment (such as the front and rear ends of the compartment), and points should be placed near the corners, center, air conditioning vents, and doors and windows to capture extreme temperature and humidity values.
Installation specifications: The probe should avoid contact with the ice box or box wall (distance ≥ 5cm). The probe wire of the refrigerator should be inserted through the door gap or reserved hole and sealed with a rubber plug. The host should be fixed to the wall of the cab or warehouse through magnetic suction/bracket.
2. Network and power supply configuration
Insert the SIM card into the 4G host and power it on (car cigarette lighter or external power supply) to ensure stable signal strength; The Bluetooth probe needs to be paired with the gateway/mobile app (long press the device button to start monitoring mode).
Lithium battery equipment needs to be charged regularly, and solar powered models should pay attention to the cleanliness of photovoltaic panels.
2、 Monitoring operation process
1. Equipment startup and calibration
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device (usually 3-5 seconds), and the screen will display "Monitoring" to indicate successful startup.
Calibration necessity: New equipment should be calibrated regularly before or annually (according to JJF specifications), and temperature and humidity deviations should be corrected through the button menu (such as temperature translation ± 0.3 ℃, humidity ± 3% RH).
2. Real time monitoring and alarm settings
Set sampling intervals (5 minutes to 24 hours) and temperature and humidity thresholds (such as drug refrigeration at 2-8 ℃) through mobile apps/cloud platforms (such as WeChat QR code binding).
Exceeding the limit triggers multi-level alarms: sound and light prompts, SMS push notifications, APP pop ups, and equipment or goods need to be checked immediately during cold chain transportation.
3、 Data Management and Application
1. Full process data traceability
The entire transportation process data is automatically uploaded to the cloud, supporting real-time viewing of curve graphs on computers/mobile phones. Historical data storage is ≥ 5 years (pharmaceutical cold chain must meet GSP requirements).
Handover verification: Upon arrival at the destination, use a Bluetooth printer to immediately print the temperature and humidity receipt and hand it over together with the cargo documents.
2. Compliance processing
The pharmaceutical cold chain needs to undergo regular distribution verification (testing under extreme conditions such as high temperatures in summer/low temperatures in winter), and generate reports for archiving.
Export data in PDF format, supporting audit tracking and regulatory inspection.
4、 Key points of system maintenance
1. Regular diagnosis and replacement
Check the sensitivity of the probe every month (calibration is required when the difference in readings between multiple probes is greater than ± 0.5 ℃), and replace the battery life warning in a timely manner.
Clean the probe to prevent dust and dirt, and prioritize using IP66 protection models for high humidity environments in cold storage.
2. Network and software updates
Adjust the position when the gateway signal strength is below 20%, and upgrade the system firmware once a year to fix communication vulnerabilities.
5、 Common problem handling
1. Data transmission interruption: Check SIM card traffic, restart gateway, automatically store locally during network interruption, and resume transmission after network recovery.
2. Abnormal probe reading: Check for cable damage or environmental interference (such as ice blocking the probe in the freezer), replace and recalibrate.
3. Verification failed: Optimize warehouse ventilation or install shading devices, and re execute distribution verification.
The efficient operation of the cold chain system relies on closed-loop management of "precise distribution+real-time alarm+full traceability", especially in the pharmaceutical field, which requires strict implementation of annual verification and calibration to avoid compliance risks caused by temperature drift.
