1、 Working principle
1. Formation and filtration of filter cake layer
The liquid to be filtered enters the sealed cylinder from the top or bottom and flows uniformly through multiple vertically arranged filter elements (resembling candles) under pressure. The filter elements are covered with specialized filter cloth or other filtering media.
In the initial stage, solid particles in the liquid are intercepted by the filter cloth and gradually accumulate to form a dense filter cake layer. The micropores in the filter cake layer further block small impurities, making the filtrate clear and discharged through the internal channels of the filter cartridge.
Before forming an effective filter cake, the system may circulate the filtrate to the feed inlet to improve filtration efficiency.
2. Automatic reverse blowing slag discharge
When the thickening of the filter cake leads to an increase in filtration resistance (pressure difference reaches the set threshold, such as 150kPa), the system automatically triggers the blowback program:
Stop feeding and drain the remaining liquid;
Compressed air/inert gas is blown back from the inside of the filter element to cause the filter cake to fall off;
The bottom slag discharge valve is opened, and the filter cake is pushed out by reverse blowing force.
Automatically rebuild a new filter cake layer after slag discharge, achieving continuous filtration.
3. Auxiliary technology
For special materials such as high viscosity or easily clogged liquids, filter aids (diatomaceous earth, activated carbon) can be added to enhance the permeability of the filter cake.
Some designs support chemical cleaning or steam sterilization to thoroughly remove residues.
