1. Equipment inspection and installation
Integrity check: Before use, it is necessary to confirm that the kettle body, sealing ring, stirring blade and other components are free of cracks or damage to avoid leakage or rupture due to material defects.
Installation stability: The reaction vessel should be placed in a flat and well ventilated position, ensuring that the mixing shaft is aligned with the center of the vessel to prevent shaking or tipping during operation.
2. Temperature control and medium selection
Temperature control: Select the temperature control medium (such as water, ice ethanol, or dimethyl silicone oil) according to the reaction requirements to avoid sudden temperature changes that may cause stress rupture of the glass.
Heating/cooling operation: The temperature needs to be gradually adjusted to prevent local overheating or thermal shock.
3. Feeding and reaction monitoring
Feeding specifications: It is recommended to prepare solid reagents into a solution and add them. Liquid reagents should be added through a constant pressure dropping funnel or pump, and the feeding amount should not exceed 2/3 of the kettle body.
Reaction process monitoring: Real time observation of temperature, pressure, and reaction status (such as color changes, gas release), and immediately stop operation in case of abnormalities.
4. Security protection
Personal protection: Wear goggles, gloves, etc. during operation to avoid contact with corrosive or volatile substances.
Pressure management: Overpressure use is strictly prohibited to ensure the normal functioning of safety valves and pressure relief devices.
5. Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning requirements: Thoroughly clean the kettle body after the reaction to avoid residue interference in subsequent experiments. Corrosive substances need to be treated with specialized solvents.
Component replacement: Regularly inspect vulnerable parts such as sealing rings and mixing blades, and promptly replace aging or deformed components.
Note: It is recommended to have professional guidance during operation to avoid handling high-risk reactions separately.
