1. Operating procedure:
Power on feeding ➡ heat ➡ Run (recover solvent) ➡ shutdown ➡ Collect concentrated solution
2. Prepare
Check the operation and hygiene status of the equipment, carefully read the process sheet, and verify the name, batch number, and quantity of the liquid material.
3. Power on:
(1) Close the valves of the inlet, outlet, and recovery pipes, as well as all exhaust valves, and then open the vacuum valve.
(2) When the vacuum negative pressure reaches enough to quickly draw the material into the equipment (usually -0.06MPa), open the feed pipe valve and start feeding.
(3) The feeding must be carried out according to the production requirements, and the materials identified by each feeding pipe must be distinguished. It is strictly prohibited to mix different materials. Among them, the following labels represent the extraction solution from tank A, the extraction solution from tank B, the elution solution from group A resin, the elution solution from group B resin, and the low alcohol solvent for resin column elution.
(4) To open a certain feed valve, all other related feed valves must be closed: when not feeding, not only should the corresponding feed valve be closed, but also the main valve must be closed to prevent valve leakage. Pay special attention to the opening and closing of the extraction tank, resin eluent tank, and low solvent pipeline main valve.
4. Heating:
When the liquid reaches the first jacket heating ring, slowly open the steam valve of the heating ring, open the lower jacket steam valve, open the drain valve, and at the same time, open the cooling water of the recovery tower to recover the elution solvent. As the amount of liquid increases, gradually increase the steam volume. When the liquid reaches the second heating ring, open the steam valve of the heating ring and the upper interlayer steam valve for heating.
5. Run:
(2) During normal operation of the equipment, the pressure of the heating ring should not exceed 0.10MPa, and should be between -0.07-0.08MPa. The higher the vacuum degree, the lower the temperature of the liquid and the less likely it is to damage the effective components.
(3) The amount of solvent recovered cannot exceed 3/4 of the volume of the liquid collector. When the liquid level in the collector reaches a certain level (which can be displayed on the level gauge), close the connecting valve, open the exhaust valve, exhaust the vacuum in the collector, and release the solvent.
(4) When releasing the solvent, it must be strictly returned to the ingredient room according to the flow direction indicated by the recovery valve. When the measured value of the recovered solvent is below 10%, it can be discharged as wastewater.
(5) The feeding should not be too much, just cover the second heating ring. If there is too much liquid material, it is easy to escape. As the solvent is continuously recovered, the amount of liquid material also decreases, so it is important to replenish the liquid material at any time. After the feeding is completed, adjust the size and switch of the steam valve according to the vacuum, temperature, and liquid conditions in the evaporation chamber. If the vacuum decreases and the temperature increases, adjust the steam valve appropriately. Otherwise, adjust the steam valve appropriately. If the liquid is not enough to cover the second heating ring, close the steam valve of the heating ring and the interlayer steam valve.
(6) In order to recover the solvent completely without excessive concentration of the feed solution, an appropriate amount of purified water is sometimes added during the concentration process.
6. Shutdown:
After the concentration of the liquid reaches the process requirements, close the steam valve, vacuum valve, and cooling water valve, open the exhaust valve to exhaust the vacuum inside the tank, and then slowly open and adjust the discharge pipe valve to discharge the liquid in the tank to the designated storage tank through reflux. (depending on the specific situation)
7. Washing machine:
After concentrating a batch of extract or paste, the walls inside the evaporation chamber and the outer walls of each heating ring must be cleaned, and status signs must be hung.
