Analysis of the Process Principle of Three Leaf Roots Vacuum Pump
1、 Core structure design
1. Three leaf rotor configuration
The pump body is equipped with a pair of 180 ° symmetrically distributed three bladed involute rotors, and the blade peaks and valleys are precisely machined to form a dynamic sealed chamber. Reverse synchronous rotation is achieved through gear transmission, maintaining a non-contact gap of 0.1-0.8mm between the rotor and the pump casing.
2. Isovolumetric compression mechanism
During the rotation cycle of the rotor, the increase in the volume of the suction chamber creates negative pressure to suck in gas, while the decrease in the volume of the exhaust chamber completes gas compression and discharge. This process relies on precise control of the chamber volume by the rotor profile to achieve directional gas delivery.
2、 Gas transportation process
1. Inhalation stage
When the rotor rotates to the inlet area, the chamber volume expands and gas is drawn into the pump chamber.
2. Compression stage
The gas is enclosed in a dynamic chamber as it moves with the rotor, and due to the gradual decrease in chamber volume, an isovolumetric compression effect occurs, but without the internal compression process of traditional reciprocating compressors.
3. Exhaust stage
When the rotor blade peak passes over the exhaust port, the compressed gas is pushed to the exhaust end, and at the same time, the high-pressure gas on the exhaust side is partially flushed back into the closed chamber, causing an instantaneous increase in pressure before being discharged from the system.
3、 Process characteristics
1. Advantages of Three Leaf Shaped Lines
Compared to the two blade structure, the three blade rotor completes three throughput cycles per revolution, effectively reducing pressure pulsation amplitude by more than 30% and significantly reducing operational vibration and noise.
2. Oil free lubrication process
The clearance between rotors and between rotors and pump casing is ensured through precision CNC machining, without the need for lubricating oil intervention, making it suitable for the pharmaceutical and electronic industries with high cleanliness requirements.
3. Materials and Processing Techniques
The rotor is made of high-strength alloy steel and formed by a five axis CNC machine tool. Surface hardening treatment (such as nitriding process) improves wear resistance, and the profile error is controlled within ± 5 μ m.
4、 Auxiliary system requirements
Pre stage equipment such as oil seal vacuum pumps and water ring pumps need to be configured to form a vacuum unit, in order to overcome the defect of low compression ratio (usually compression ratio ≤ 10) and achieve a medium vacuum range of 10 ⁻¹~10 ³ Pa.
