Maintenance and upkeep process of Roots rotary vane pump vacuum pump
Date: 2023-10-26Read: 0
Roots rotary vane vacuum pump is a universal machinery that is familiar to many people due to its wide range of use. However, few people understand the maintenance and upkeep work of Roots rotary vane vacuum pump, which can affect the efficiency of work. If we follow the correct maintenance and upkeep procedures, the service life of Roots rotary vane vacuum pump can be relatively extended, and there will be few normal failures.
The specific maintenance and upkeep process is as follows:
1. Keep the Roots rotary vane vacuum pump clean to prevent debris from entering the pump.
2. Check the oil contamination once a week. Before changing the oil, the pump must run for 30 minutes to make the oil thinner, then stop the pump, drain the oil from the drain hole, and open the air inlet to run for 1-2 minutes. At this point, a small amount of clean oil can be slowly added from the suction port to replace the oil stored in the oil chamber.
3. Diesel, gasoline, and other oils with high saturated vapor pressure should not be mixed into the oil to avoid reducing the ultimate vacuum. When disassembling and cleaning the pump components, they can generally be wiped with gauze. When cleaning is necessary, gasoline can be used for scrubbing, but it must be dried before assembly.
4. If the Roots rotary vane vacuum pump is not used for a long time, the oil should be drained and the pump should be cleaned before injecting new oil.
5. The filter screen at the pump inlet should be kept clean to prevent a decrease in pumping speed. If a malfunction is found in the Roots rotary vane vacuum pump, we can troubleshoot and handle it ourselves. If it cannot be handled by ourselves after troubleshooting, we can seek assistance from the manufacturer or find a professional vacuum pump repair manufacturer to handle it.
