How to achieve continuous drying in a disc type continuous dryer?

Disc continuous dryer is an efficient conductive continuous drying equipment. Its structure and working principle determine that it has the characteristics of high thermal efficiency, low energy consumption, small footprint, simple configuration, convenient operation and control, and good operating environment. It is widely used in drying operations in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, pesticide, food, feed, and agricultural and sideline product processing. Highly praised in practical applications across various industries.
The disc continuous dryer achieves continuous drying mainly through its working principle and structural design, which are manifested in the following aspects:
1. Continuous supply of wet materials:
♦ Wet materials are continuously added to the first layer of the drying tray on the upper part of the dryer through a feeder. This ensures that wet materials are constantly supplied during equipment operation, achieving continuous drying treatment.
2. Alternating arrangement of drying trays:
♦ The disc continuous dryer adopts a multi-layer drying disc structure, which is arranged alternately up and down in a certain way, allowing materials to flow continuously through the entire dryer.
♦ The material first enters the first layer of the drying tray, and then during the drying process, the material gradually transfers from one layer of the drying tray to another through the flipping of the rake blades and arms, achieving a continuous processing process.
3. Flipping and continuous flow of materials:
♦ The rake arm with rake blades rotates to continuously flip materials. This flipping not only ensures sufficient contact between the material and the heating medium, but also promotes continuous and uniform flow of the material on the drying disc.
♦ The material flows along an exponential spiral over the surface of the drying disc, which further ensures the uniformity and continuity of the material during the drying process.
4. Circulating flow of heating medium:
♦ Heating media such as saturated steam, hot water, thermal oil, and high-temperature molten salt are introduced into the hollow drying tray. These heating media enter from one end of the drying disc and exit from the other end, achieving the circulation flow of the heating media.
♦ The circulating heating medium continuously provides heat to the material, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of the drying process.
5. Continuous discharge of dry materials:
♦ The dried material falls from the last drying tray onto the aggregate. The disc is finally transported by the rake blade to the discharge port for discharge. This design ensures that the dried material can be continuously and stably discharged, thereby achieving continuity throughout the entire dry explosion process.
6. Continuous discharge of moisture:
♦ After the moisture overflows from the material, it is continuously discharged through the moisture outlet located on the top cover. For vacuum disc dryers, the moisture is extracted through a vacuum port located on the top cover. This design ensures timely discharge of moisture, avoids the accumulation of moisture in the equipment, and further ensures the continuity and efficiency of the drying process.
In summary, the disc continuous dryer achieves continuous drying of materials through continuous supply of wet materials, alternating arrangement of drying discs, flipping and continuous flow of materials, circulating flow of heating medium, continuous discharge of dry materials, and continuous discharge of moisture.
