Sterile pharmacy and intelligent temperature control -- the core breakthrough of modern airflow spray dryer

As the core process of modern powder preparation, air flow spray drying technology has been continuously upgraded in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and other fields. In 2025, the latest model will improve drying efficiency by 40% and reduce energy consumption by 35% through innovations such as supersonic atomization and intelligent temperature control, which will become an ideal scheme for efficient preparation of micro and nano powders.
1、 Technical principles and system composition
• Airflow spray dryer adopts two fluid or three fluid nozzle structure, compressed air is sprayed at 300m/s supersonic speed, and the feed liquid is broken into 10-200 μ m droplets through gas-liquid shear force. The atomized droplets undergo convective heat transfer with hot air at 150-350 ℃ in a drying tower, and the water evaporation rate can reach 95%/second. The entire process can be completed in only 10-30 seconds. The system core includes five major modules:
Atomization system: using hard alloy nozzles, with a pressure resistance of 0.5-0.8MPa, supporting material liquid treatment with viscosity ≤ 5000cP
Hot air circulation: Gas/electric heating with multi-stage temperature control, inlet temperature fluctuation of ± 2 ℃
• Gas solid separation: cyclone separator combined with bag dust removal, yield ≥ 98%
Control system: PLC integrated with OPC-UA protocol, real-time adjustment of atomization pressure and air volume
Cleaning unit: CIP online cleaning system, meeting GMP sterile requirements
2、 Key performance breakthrough
1. Nano level atomization control
The ultrasonic assisted atomization technology launched in 2024 enables droplet size distribution D90 ≤ 5 μ m and increases the specific surface area by three times, making it particularly suitable for the preparation of materials such as graphene and nanomedicine. A certain case shows that this technology has increased the drug dissolution rate from 82% to 96%.
2. Energy saving and consumption reducing design
The heat pump type waste heat recovery device can reduce the exhaust temperature from 80 ℃ to 40 ℃, reducing energy consumption by 40% compared to traditional models. The closed-loop circulation model adopts nitrogen protection, with a solvent recovery rate of over 90%.
3. Intelligent monitoring system
Optimization of three-dimensional airflow field based on CFD simulation, combined with infrared moisture online detection (accuracy ± 0.3%), to achieve automatic determination of drying endpoint. The new AI model can predict the wear trend of atomizers, with a fault warning accuracy rate of 92%.
3、 Typical application scenarios
1. Heat sensitive material handling
The traditional Chinese medicine extract adopts a low-temperature mode (inlet air at 80 ℃), with a retention rate of active ingredients>99%. A certain enterprise application shows that the loss rate of astragaloside has decreased from 12% to 3%.
2. High viscosity system processing
• The polyurethane lotion is atomized through a three fluid nozzle (gas/liquid/auxiliary gas), and 50-150 μ m spherical powder is successfully prepared, which is directly used for 3D printing consumables.
3. Production of sterile preparations
Models equipped with laminar flow protection, with environmental microbial control<0.1 CFU/m ³, have been used for the production of injectable antibiotics.
