In the material mixing process of industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, and chemicals, the twin-screw conical mixer relies on the collaborative design of the conical cavity and twin-screw to achieve uniform mixing of powders, particles, and other materials, adapting to the material pretreatment requirements of mass production. The following analysis will focus on the working principle and structural composition.
1、 Working principle
1. Composite motion mechanism
•Drive two asymmetric propellers through dual output reducers to achieve a composite motion of rotation and revolution:
•Rotation: The propeller rotates around its own axis, lifting the bottom material to the top and scattering it, forming a convective cycle.
•Revolution: The propeller slowly rotates along the axis of the conical container to ensure multi-directional mixing of materials and eliminate dead corners.
2. Triple mixing effect
•Shear mixing: Friction between propellers and materials.
•Convective mixing: Materials fall freely under the action of gravity, forming an up and down circulation.
•Diffusion mixing: The material is evenly dispersed during the scattering process.
3. Special design advantages
•Optimization of the angle of the conical cylinder ensures the efficiency of material lifting and falling.
•There are no fixed bearings at the bottom to avoid pressure feeding and ensure more thorough discharge.
2、 Structural composition
1. Transmission system
•Adopting a dual output reducer (cycloidal pinwheel reducer) to control rotation and revolution respectively.
•Distribute power through bevel gears to ensure motion synchronization.
2. Mixing container
•Cone shaped cylinder: designed with an inverted cone, made of stainless steel, with customized volume according to requirements.
•Jacket layer: Optional heating/cooling jacket (thermal oil or electric heating).
3. Spiral mixer
•Asymmetric double helix: propellers of different lengths and diameters to enhance mixing uniformity.
•Center rod: connects the bottom of the propeller to maintain structural stability.
4. Discharge system
•Misalignment valve/plum blossom valve: It fits tightly with the bottom of the spiral to reduce residue.
•Optional pneumatic/manual drive, supporting expansion of butterfly valves, star shaped unloaders, etc.
5. Auxiliary components
•Dust removal interface: deals with the dust generated during the mixing process.
•Observation window: monitors the mixed state, made of high-temperature resistant glass.
