A mixer is a machine that uses mechanical force and gravity to evenly mix two or more materials. Hybrid machinery is widely used in various industrial production and daily life, such as pharmaceuticals, food, chemicals, agriculture, and construction.
Mixers are divided into small mixers, V-type mixers, double cone mixers, etc., which are relatively familiar to everyone. Now let's talk about some application situations of mixers.
A mixer can mix multiple materials into a uniform mixture, such as in the pharmaceutical industry, where different ingredients are evenly mixed together to form a compound; It can also increase the contact surface area of materials to promote chemical reactions; It can also accelerate physical changes, such as adding granular solutes to solvents, which can accelerate dissolution and mixing through the action of mixing machinery.
The commonly used mixing machines are divided into four categories: gas and low viscosity liquid mixers, medium high viscosity liquid and paste mixers, thermoplastic material mixers, and powder and granular solid material mixers. Here we mainly introduce the solid material mixer. Powder and granular solid material mixers are mostly operated intermittently. Currently, there are three types of mixers on the market: V-type mixers, 3D mixers, and trough mixers. When mixing, it is required that all materials involved in the mixing be evenly distributed. The degree of mixing can be divided into three states: ideal mixing, random mixing, and non mixing. The degree of mixing of various materials in a mixing machine depends on factors such as the proportion, physical state, and characteristics of the materials to be mixed, as well as the type of mixing machine used and the duration of the mixing operation. Solid particles with good fluidity are mainly mixed by the rotation of the container itself or by the action of moving parts inside the container, which are repeatedly flipped and mixed. In this case, a V-type mixer is generally used. It is not enough to rely solely on the rotational action for materials with poor liquidity and significant proportion differences. It requires multi-directional and multi angle action to achieve sufficient mixing. This situation is usually handled using a 3D mixer or a multidimensional mixer. Particles or powdery solids with poor fluidity and adhesion to each other often require a mixer with mechanical flipping, pressing, rolling, and other actions. In this case, a trough mixer is generally used.
