Process flow and main structural components of circular tablet press

The circular tablet press is a dual pressure automatic rotating, continuous tablet press machine that compresses granular raw materials into tablets. It is mainly used for tablet production in the pharmaceutical industry, and is also suitable for industrial sectors such as chemical, food, and electronics.
  1、 Process flow of circular tablet press
1. Filling stage
Lower down to the bottom of the middle mold hole, forming a closed space, and fill the drug particles through a feeder (such as a moon shaped grid feeder).
The flowability of particles affects the filling effect, and it is necessary to adjust the gap between the feeder and the turntable, as well as the height of the hopper.
2. Pre compression stage
Upstream into the middle mold hole, preliminarily compact the loose particles, expel air, and stabilize the particle arrangement.
The pre pressure is usually lower than the main pressure to avoid particle splashing.
3. Main pressure stage
Under the action of the pressure wheel, the upper and lower strokes simultaneously apply pressure to compress the particles into circular tablets.
The pressure is controlled by adjusting the height of the pressing wheel, and the thickness and hardness of the sheet are determined by the pressure.
4. Promotion stage
The upper punch rises rapidly, and the lower punch pushes the tablet out of the middle mold hole, which is then guided into the collection container by the scraper.


  2、 The main structural components of the circular tablet press
1. Rotary table and transmission system
The turntable is the core executing component, driven by the spindle and worm gear pair to rotate and support the movement of the die.
The motor transmits power through synchronous pulleys and worm gear reducers, and the speed is controlled by variable frequency speed regulation.
2. Track organization
Control the upward trajectory of the upward trajectory (upward trajectory, downward trajectory, parallel trajectory, etc.).
Adjust the downward filling and pushing actions of the lower track (filling track, upward track, etc.).
3. Regulating device
Filling adjustment: Adjust the height of the moon shaped filling rail through a spiral mechanism to control the weight of the piece.
Pressure regulation: The eccentric shaft of the lower pressure wheel adjusts the thickness of the plate, and the upper pressure wheel is equipped with a buffer spring to protect the die.
4. Feeding and protection system
The feeding hopper is matched with the powder feeder to ensure uniform filling of particles.
The fully enclosed casing complies with GMP standards, and the transparent window facilitates cleaning and monitoring.
