The maintenance and upkeep of the tunnel type microwave dryer should focus on daily cleaning, system inspection, standardized operation, and shutdown protection. The specific methods are as follows:
1、 Daily cleaning management
1. Cleaning of the cavity and conveyor belt
Immediately clean the residual materials (especially medicine powder/food debris) in the chamber with a dry cloth and vacuum cleaner after stopping the machine, to avoid consuming microwave energy and causing ignition risks.
During the operation of the conveyor belt, use a soft bristled brush to remove residue, wipe it with a damp cloth, and clean it in three steps: drinking water, purified water, and disinfectant (sterile treatment is required in the food/pharmaceutical industry).
2. Maintenance of cooling system
Check the dust accumulation at the cooling port before starting up daily, use an air gun to clean the fan and cooling fins, and ensure ventilation efficiency (dust accumulation can cause overheating and aging of components).
2、 Key system inspection
1. Microwave transmission system
Regularly inspect the sealing and surface oxidation of copper components such as waveguides and excitation chambers. If water vapor condensation or copper green is found, it should be dried immediately to prevent microwave loss and damage to the magnetron.
2. Electrical and Vacuum Systems
Tighten the screws of the distribution box every month and test the grounding resistance with a multimeter (<4 Ω) to avoid poor contact and fire hazards.
Vacuum drying machines require regular testing of pump body sealing, pipeline leaks, and refrigerant filling levels.
3. Temperature control and drainage system
Calibrate the temperature sensor (alcohol cleaning probe), check the blockage of the electronic drain filter, and manually test the drainage function.
3、 Safety operation standards
1. Start stop process
It is strictly prohibited to start the microwave without load, and materials should be placed tightly to avoid excessive spacing.
When shutting down, first turn off the heating system and keep the fan running until the furnace temperature is less than 100 ℃ before cutting off the power to prevent the heating tube from cracking due to rapid cooling.
2. Operation monitoring
To avoid excessive heating and carbonization of materials, accurately set the sterilization and drying time based on the characteristics of the material (form/moisture content).
4、 Shutdown protection measures
1. Long term disuse requires wrapping with PE dust-proof film, applying high-temperature resistant molybdenum disulfide grease to transmission components, and placing calcium chloride desiccant in the furnace chamber to prevent moisture (silicone gel is prohibited in food factories).
2. Before reactivation, thoroughly check the connection status of the grounding wire and temperature sensing wire.
Maintenance priority reminder: weekly deep cleaning of tracks/chains (food grade grease) and monthly inspection of high-risk components (exhaust pipe cracks/valve seals) can reduce the failure rate. Maintenance records need to be archived in detail to achieve accountability management.
